Clashdome, a suite of play and earn mini-games, offers players the chance to customize their apartment, avatar, and even some of the equipment used in their games. Now Clashdome adds the opportunity to earn LUDIO tokens with your decoration skills!

Earn LUDIO by Participating

All you have to do is add at least one decoration to your apartment. Then, every week, players who login will be presented the chance to vote on apartments. They will be shown a selection of five, random apartments. Players rate the apartments they’re shown on a scale of one to five stars. To encourage participation, players receive 10 LUDIO tokens for voting.

Apartment owners receive payouts based on the rating their apartment receives. Rewards are 5 LUDIO per star above one. IE, two stars receive 5 LUDIO, 3 stars gets 10 LUDIO, and so on. This will be an ongoing, weekly event.

To assist with decorating options, Cashdome have re-added some of their old decorative items to their shop. They also plan to release special packs in December. These packs each contain three new, random decorative items, from a selection of 26 new items available. Price for these packs has not yet revealed, but purchases will be made with LUDIO tokens.

In addition, Clashdome recently launched an apartment editing mode, allowing owners to freely move their decorative items around to find the perfect placement! No longer are players stuck with the default placement for their decorations! However, moving stuff around your apartment isn’t completely free. Players must spend 25 JIGOWATTS every time they want to save their apartment changes.

This is a great way to encourage greater participation in apartment decorating, generate sales for decorative items, and allow players to show off!

ClashDome features three tokens — LUDIO, CARBZ, and JIGOWATTS. LUDIO is the primary game currency, while CARBZ and JIGOWATTS are used by those with Citizen NFTs.

All three tokens exist on the WAX blockchain and can be traded on external exchanges. But now, ClashDome has added an in-app swap option. This lets players swap between all three tokens without leaving the ClashDome site, making it much easier for players to get the tokens they need. The backend of the service still accesses the established liquidity pools, but this interface makes it a smoother experience for the players.

Players also have in-game access to a new staking program, earning up to 10% APY when locking up tokens for 1 to 4 weeks. This should help relieve some token selling pressure as players lock up their tokens for staking rewards. The ClashDome team will probably need to add some additional functionality to staking, such as potential NFT rewards or some sort of in-game bonus or perk to really make this program work.

In addition, ClashDome has already held a number of sales for special, limited time NFT items. Some items are cosmetic decorations, while others provide benefits in certain games. This update includes the option for sales in secondary tokens, creating additional use cases for CARBZ and JIGOWATTS.

Citizens in Clashdome don’t want to just hang around a boring, plain apartment. They want to liven up their space and make it their own. Soon, they will have plenty of options to choose from. But these customization aren’t all just for decoration. Some even provide in-game bonuses!

There are already a few customization items floating around on the secondary markets, but expect to see a lot more in the near future.

Players acquire items for their apartments in various ways. Some are offered as limited time crafting options, others rewarded as prizes for contests and events. Clashdome will also add packs and special, weekly sales to their in-game shop. And finally, the team also plans to include decoration rewards as prizes for the weekly leaderboards.

Apartment customization items come in four basic categories. First off, there are the decorative items that add new graphics to the apartment. Along with that are ‘decorative features’. These are things such as changing the wall color or floor style. Items that have a decorative effect, but that aren’t really things you would put up for display. Then we have Cosmetic Accessories. These are cosmetics for player avatars. They can change the in-game visuals for the Citizen, but don’t affect the NFT itself.

And last, but certainly not least, Gamer Trinkets. These decorative items also provide game bonuses. For example, there might be a figurine that shows the owning player all the possible play combinations on the Candy Fiesta board.

Apartment items are also grouped into sets, or themes. These include Clashdome (Clashdome propaganda and swag), Modding (we need more blinky things!), and Gamerism (idolization of games and characters from games). These are just the starting sets. Expect to see many more options in the future!

Clashdome began as a couple of simple games where players could pay an entry fee in WAX for a chance to place on the leaderboard and win a prize. Since then, it has grown quite a bit, introduced Citizen Avatars, and developed a more robust play to earn economy.

Still hosting free-to-play games, and chances to win LUDIO tokens, Clashdome now offers an enhanced experience for those who own Citizens. This includes increased earning potential as well as a customizable avatar and apartment.

Clashdome now runs five, mobile-friendly games, each with play-to-earn potential. There is Endless Siege, a tower defense game, Candy Fiesta, a candy-themed match 3 game, Templok, a block-fitting puzzle game, Ringy Dingy, a kind of layered tic-tac-toe, and their latest, Rug Pool, a time-based pool competition. Every one of these games is played in a duel fashion. When starting a game, players are matched up with someone of equivalent skill ranking. Both players play the same game with the same random seed, so everyone starts on equal footing. After both matches end, the player with the highest score wins LUDIO tokens.

Citizens and Play and Earn Games

Clashdome is free to play, but those with Citizens have increased earning potential. Players can customize their own Citizen with an Amnio tank, or buy a Citizen already made. Citizens earn Ludio when playing games, and can upgrade their apartments to generate Carbz and Jigowatts, the two in-game currencies.

Players use Jigowatts to craft mining machines and extra area slots for their apartments, recharge the batteries for their Holo-Piggy and Vending Machine, or to watch replays from other players (though watching replays of your own matches are free). Carbz are the energy drink for Clashdome. Citizens drink Carbz to restore Stamina so they can work on the Treadmill and claim Ludio from the Holo-Piggy. Carbz are also used to expand apartment slots and to customize the player profile.

Players collect their accumulated rewards from their Holo-bank, spending Energy and Battery power in the process. Those with Citizens can purchase Treadmills and Vending Machines which, when installed in an apartment, produce Carbz and Jigowatts. These tokens can be used in-game or traded on secondary token markets. Players can also equip Citizens with special NFTs that provide game bonuses such as pool cues with longer aiming targets.

Players are automatically entered into a weekly competition with scores based on their win rates in all the games they played that week, weighted more heavily towards the games played more. During the competition, players can earn multipliers towards their LUDIO earnings. This multiplier is based on the player’s current rank, encouraging regular activity. At the end of the week, the top players overall receive special apartment decoration NFTs.

The Future of Clashdome

On Monday, August 1st, Clashdome plans to sell custom Arcade Machines. We don’t have the details on this yet. But I would guess that these machines will offer both in-game benefits as well as some extra visual flair.

As for development, in the near future, Clashdome plans to increase the social aspects of their ecosystem, adding a friends list and options for private duels. Since they initially announced the launch of ClashDome Citizens, the team has consistently said that Citizens would be beneficial to their owners. And now, we receive some more details about what exactly that might mean.

Players with ClashDome Citizens can stake them and receive access to a special ‘Citizen’s Cubicle’. From there you can play games for free and earn Ludio when you win! The apartment also allows the installation of mining tools in order to generate resources, and a crafting station for creating tools! Mining tools come in two varieties, Vending Machines, which make Carbz, and Treadmills which generate Jigowattz.

Collecting resources from these NFTs every once in a while allows your Citizen to maintain a 24/7 passive income. Installed items do wear down after a while and need to be recharged by spending some in-game resources. Players expand their apartment with Area Slot NFTs, though it’s unclear where these come from. Also, though nothing official has been said on this subject, it seems that ClashDome Mining Tools might only be created by players? If so, this is a nice way to kickstart a player economy!

Good old Rock. Nothing beats Rock!

Taking gameification of basic features to the next level, there is even an opportunity to gamble during token swaps! If a player wants to cash our their accumulated Jigowatts or Carbz, they can swap them at anytime for free into tradeable tokens. But, if they are willing to gamble, there is also a special ‘GigaSwap ATM’. At this ATM, players are paired against other players who are also using the GigaSwap. After facing off in a fierce duel of rock-paper-scissors, the winner walks away with double the amount of tokens they were trying to withdraw, and the loser with nothing!

Though it’s a fun, interesting idea on paper, we’ll have to see how it actually plays out. I fear that players will find ways to game the system too much and/or grief other players. Hopefully the ClashDome team will keep an eye out for such shenanigans and make whatever changes might be needed to fix any situations that arise.

Player avatars are a growing trend in the world of blockchain gaming. And ClashDome brings us their version in the form of customizable, avatar NFTs. Though each character will be unique, owners get to choose the traits they want rather than rely on random, generative properties. This gives the owner full, creative control over their citizen’s appearance.

It all starts with an Amnio-tank. Amnio-tanks come in three varieties: Hi-Clones, Ubernorms, and Plebs. Not only are Hi-Clones and Ubernorms rarer, but they also have access to special customization features and colors that the lower rarities don’t. The sales for Hi-Cline and Ubernorms have completed, though both are still available on secondary markets. Only 400 Hi-Clone tanks and 1200 Ubernorm tanks will ever be created.

Once you have an Amnio-tank in your possession, you can create your citizen at https://clashdome.io/nfts/your-nfts Please note that customization doesn’t open until a couple of days after the sale. Change the hair, top, pants, sleeves, cape, shoes, socks, eyebrows and more. With over a dozen attributes, each with a subset of variations and color choices, players have plenty of opportunity to create a truly unique citizen and are guaranteed that no other will have the exact same set of attributes.

What are ClashDome Citizens?

ClashDome Citizens are customizable avatars that also serve as in-game characters. In addition, they provide various benefits in the ClashDome ecosystem, which already includes several web-based games such as Endless Siege, Candy Fiesta, and Templok.

Though most of this functionality is in the future, owning a Citizen allows for active earnings by playing games and earning Ludio, passive earnings via mining equipment, NFT drops, token airdrops, NFT crafting, and Breeding! That’s quite a list!

For succeeding generations, ClashDome features ‘Breeding Duels’. No, that is not a typo. Apparently, two rivals will face-off and share their genetic data to create an offspring, then compete for ownership! The winner receives an Amnio-tank and can sell it or birth a new Citizen. That is certainly a different take on breeding! It would have to include random matchups one would think. Anyway, I can’t wait to hear more info about this feature!

Though we have no details on the tokens, the graphic below mentions two called $CARBS and $JIGOWATTS. Both are earned by owning Citizens and participating in an upcoming mining mini-game. It seems these will also be important in the crafting on new NFT items.

In another interesting feature, an in-development game called ClashGrinders allows Citizen owners to use their avatar in-game. Play as your Avatar, exactly how you customized them. That sounds like a pretty cool feature. Especially once it crosses over to more than one game. Having a persistent avatar image between games would be a huge deal for a lot of gamers.

The Next Generation

If you miss this Genesis Generation Amnio-tank sales this time around, no worries, there will be an additional sale. And the Clashdome team says that their focus will be on the breeding system once ClashDome Grinders is released. So second generation Citizens should hit the markets soon after.

It’s great to see more avatar NFT incorporation into an ecosystem rather than just a picture you hold in your digital wallet. The potential of NFTs offers so much more, and releases such as ClashDome Citizens are just a first step along the way.
