Parallel is gearing up for their Avatar mint, which starts in early July. These Avatar NFTs will not only provide earning bonuses when used in the Parallel TCG, but will also have ongoing use cases for future games and events in the Parallel universe!

Want an avatar that can be used across multiple games? Then maybe the Parallel Avatar mint is the thing for you! Parallel wants their avatars to be a central, playable character across a variety of games, starting with their trading card game. Players who equip their Avatar, and win with a deck that matches the Avatar earn extra PRIME tokens when winning matches. In addition, owning an Avatar provides early access to Colony, a new AI-driven game in the works by the Parallel team, use in other, upcoming games, and even access to a casting call to have your Avatar appear in a future Parallel comic!

These avatars will be full 3d models. As a test, the team has been running simulations with their avatars in an Unreal engine setting, and it looks like their tests are going pretty well!

Parallel Avatar Mint Info

There are 3 ways to mint one of these Parallel Avatars The first phase of the Parallel Avatar sale begins on July 6th. This will be for those on the ‘Manifest’ and Avatars will cost 11 PRIME tokens (~$20 USD). The Manifest is an allowlist feature that Parallel has used for previous drops, meant to reward those who are most invested in the game. This Manifest includes Masterpiece holders, all of Echelon’s Ardent program members, and Prismatic Key Holders. The snapshot for the Manifest will happen sometime next week.

After that, in mid-July, there will be a public sale on OpenSea. No price has yet been set for the public portion of this drop. On to of that, there will also be an option to Play to mint by completing the Avatar Challenge in the game. Details on this have also not been revealed yet. The team says to expect more info on the play to mint feature closer to the beta release, which could be as soon as late July.

You can view the official Parallel Avatars page, though it doesn’t have much more info that what I’ve laid out here.

What is Parallel?

Parallel is a sci-fi themed TCG with some interesting mechanics. A lot of it is the standard stuff we expect with a digital TCG these days. Two players build a deck of cards and then take turns drawing and playing these cards in a duel. The first player to reduce their opponent to zero life wins. Cards come in three types — units, effects (spells), and relics. Parallel offers five ‘Parallels’, which are similar to gods / summoners / champions / etc. in other games.

Players build decks of 40 cards in Parallel. Each deck can have up to three copies of a card in their deck, except for Legendary cards, which may only be included once. Each deck can use cards from one Parallel and also cards that are marked as Universal. In addition, players choose a Paragon for their deck. Paragons offer passive bonuses throughout the match no matter their status, and then also function as in-play units with stats and potentially other bonuses or effects.

The mana / energy system in Parallel requires players to ‘bank’ cards from their hand. Each card banked provides one additional maximum energy each turn. Players begin the game with zero energy, so they will need to bank at least one card. Players can bank one card per turn. And on a turn that they bank a card, they draw an extra card at the end of their turn.

Players who win matches with NFT cards in their deck receive PRIME tokens. Parallel will include a free to play option as well.

PRIME is the main game token, and card collectors can already earn some by staking their cards. Also, Parallel offers a card creation tool called Payload. Players can pay a fee in PRIME tokens to generate new cards. In addition, Parallel supports ‘Artigraph’ cards — NFT cards that are digitally signed by the artist. Players can acquire these limited edition cards by paying a fee and upgrading an existing card.

Synergy of Serra moves into an open alpha phase, allowing anyone to download and play the alpha for their unique take on the TCG genre. Officially, this version is a ‘proto-alpha’, so it’s still pretty rough around the edges. But the game is playable, and it has a very interesting take on the deck building aspect of trading card games!

The trading card genre of games is not new. And even web3 enabled TCG games are no longer new either. But as the scene becomes increasingly crowded, developers try to find ways to make their game different from the others. And Synergy of Serra does that with some rather unique features!

Synergy of Serra has been in alpha testing for a while. But now they open the game up to anyone and everyone — no keys required! You can download the game from the Synergy of Serra website and start playing right now!

There are no rewards for playing in the proto-alpha. Though this open alpha does offer a chance to try out a new game, and also to give your personal feedback and suggestions to the team!

How to Play Synergy of Serra

In Synergy of Serra, both players start off with a small, basic, starter deck of ten cards. In addition, each player brings a ‘suitcase’ to the game. Each suitcase contains 100 cards chosen by the player beforehand. When the game starts, the contents of both suitcases are dumped into a shared card pool. Throughout the game, players take cards from the pool to add to their discard pile. This not only evens the playing field, but it also creates room for strategic deckbuilding and tweaking decisions while playing a match!

The basic card types are Units, Attachments, and Power cards. Attachments go onto units, and Power cards are the ‘spells’ for the game. Synergy of Serra actually has a pretty decent in-game explanation of the game mechanics and keywords. Some interesting features included in the game are cards that get stronger the more they are played, and the fact that when your deck runs out of cards then you just reshuffle your graveyard and start again!

Another twist in this game is that players have no mana / energy / whatever. Instead, players are free to play any and all cards from their hand. Every turn! Any cards not played are discarded, and the player draws a new hand of five cards to begin their turn.

This makes for some quick, action-packed gameplay. Players also gain Faction Points as the game progresses. Faction Points are used to power-up associated unit cards.

As I mentioned earlier, the game is still pretty rough in regards to user interface. For instance, there are no sounds or animations in the game yet. And without these it makes it a little hard to keep up with what’s happening on your opponent’s turn (I never realized how important sounds can be to a TCG!) But the team has been releasing regular updates and fixes to the game, so I imagine this sort of polish will arrive soon as well.

Skyweaver adds a new quest system to their fantasy, web-based TCG including daily, weekly, and seasonal quests. Completing quests rewards players with points which feed into the Skyweaver battle pass system, opening up new rewards for players every season.

Quests have arrived in Skyweaver, giving every player a chance to complete daily, weekly, and seasonal quests, earning experience points along the way! Quests are accessed via the top menu and the quest page shows active quests, completed quests, and timers with countdowns for the next quest resets.

And if you get a quest that you don’t like or just can’t seem to complete, Skyweaver includes a handy dandy re-roll feature! Players can re-roll one quest per quest type, per quest period. e.g., you can reset one daily quest once per day. Owners of Premium Skypasses receive two re-rolls.

daily quests in Skyweaver

Completing quests earns points towards the Skypass. Skypass is the battle pass for Skyweaver. And, as is standard with battle passes, Skypass offers a paid, premium mode with extra prizes, including cards, tradeable stickers and card backs, and even tickets to play for Gold and Silver cards in Conquest mode. Premium passes cost $14.95 if paying by credit card, or $12.92 if paying with USDC.

Speaking of Skypasses, you’re just in time to jump aboard as Skyweaver just opened up Season 21 with a new set of rewards. And with each new season, a new, free card awaits every player who logs in and claims it! Skyweaver is free to play, so jump in now to give it a try and claim your rewards!

Skyweaver Gameplay
a destructive card play

What is Skyweaver?

Skyweaver is a fantasy-themed, collectible card game with play and earn opportunities. Playing Skyweaver is free and easy. The onboarding process for the game is very smooth. And the tutorials available make the game easy to approach, even if you are unfamiliar with the trading card game genre. Before entering PvP arenas you will need to gain experience by battling against bots. Along the way, you will earn basic cards and heroes to help build your first decks. Skyweaver also offers a ‘Discovery’ game mode, where each player begins with a pre-built deck.

In an interesting twist, Skyweaver doesn’t sell card packs. Players must earn cards by playing, or buy cards from other players. And though basic cards are bound to the player’s account, Skyweaver also features Silver and Gold card rewards which can be traded on the market. Players earn these cards by reaching the top of the leaderboards, or competing in Conquest mode. Tickets for Conquest mode cost $1.50, though they can also be won in-game. Conquest mode is a single-elimination mode, where players can earn Silver and Gold cards for winning 1, 2, or 3 matches in a row.

The game plays in your web browser or with the native apps available for PC, Mac, iOS, and Android. Skyweaver is officially in an ‘open beta’ state, but it already has a fully functioning game ecosystem and market. To learn more about this game, read our full Skyweaver Review.

Splinterlands brings us a special, 5 year anniversary, token burning event called ‘The Great Burning’. This event will give players an opportunity to burn DEC tokens and earn rewards in the process!

It’s been five years since Splinterlands first sold their Alpha packs on the Steem network. And to celebrate they are bringing us a special event known as The Great Burning! The event will start on Tuesday, May 30th, 2023 and it will run for 30 days, ending on June 29th, 2023 and allow players to burn DEC tokens via a special page on the Splinterlands website.

The Burninating

Burned tokens must be submitted via the official webpage! Don’t try to manually burn the tokens yourself — you won’t get any credit for this event by doing so. And in an interesting twist, players actually earn more points for contributing earlier! The first day, all tokens burned will be worth three points. After that, their value decreases daily until tokens are worth only one point on the final day.

Splinterlands plans to give away prizes to those who earn the most points from the burn. There will be prizes for the top 200 on the leaderboard at the end.

1 – “The Burninator” Legendary Title + 1 Tract

2 – “The Burninator” Legendary Title + 50 Plots

3 – “The Burninator” Legendary Title + 50 Plots

4 – “The Burninator” Legendary Title + 25 Plots

11 – 60 – “The Incinerator” Epic Title

61 – 200 – “The Scorcher” Rare Title

potential prizes from the raffle
potential prizes from the raffle

There will also be a raffle available to all. Everyone receives one raffle entry for every 10K DEC or DEC-B (DEC Batteries) they burn during the event. At the end, there will be a raffle for a number of prizes, including land plots, and even Alpha and Beta packs!

The prizes for the raffle are as follows:

  • Land Plot (200 total available)
  • Alpha Pack (100 total available)
  • Beta Pack (250 total available)
  • Untamed Pack (500 total available)
  • Nightmare Pack (1000 total available)
  • Riftwatchers Pack (1000 total available)
  • Runi (25 total available)

In addition, all DEC burned during this event will be converted into Guild Power. This will be used in an upcoming update that will revamp guilds and guild buildings. Guild Power is attached to a player, and can even be taken with them when they leave the guild! We should learn more about this feature and guild updates in the near future.

Burn, Tokens, Burn!

Splinterlands has been desperately trying to find enough token burn opportunities to bring DEC value back to the expected 1 cent (0.001 USD) pen token. From pack sales to the the DEC Batteries to promo cards to land surveying and more! Unfortunately, despite all of these efforts, this seems to be a slow, grinding effort. DEC value still hovers below 0.0008 USD. Up quite a bit from the lows last year and trending upwards — but oh so slowly. And doubly unfortunate, having DEC at or above its expected peg is an important part of the SPS token ecosystem!

Zyriel Splinterlands
a good card… but not cheap!

And while the DEC Batteries sold out and the Land Surveying feature was very popular, the latest promo card sale, Zyriel, is not faring so well. The price point for this cards is quite high — $80 retail, but can be reduced to $40 by using VOUCHERS. Only about a third of the total supply of 15,000 have sold, and unless you are buying in bulk or want to take a roll at landing a gold foil, prices for Zyriel on the secondary market are around $36 — cheaper than buying from the sale! Now, the sale is only open until the end of May, so once the supply is limited, we may see a value increase. But, as a token burning mechanism, the Zyriel sale was not much of a success.

So you have to wonder if there isn’t some player fatigue for these sales. Hopefully this burn event won’t show any similar fatigue! Reports have it that there are about 6-7 billion tokens on HIVE, and a number of tokens on the Binance Chain as well. So there is still a lot of burning to do!

Gods Unchained releases a 2023 roadmap, outlining some of their plans of the year. This includes new game modes, improved player experiences, and the launch of the Gods Unchained mobile app!

The Gods Unchained team has undergone a number of upheavals over the years. From several organizational restructures to a branching off into the development of Immutable X. However, none of this seemed to help solidify and guide the game’s development. But now the GU team thinks that they are on the right track, with a core group of six developers now in charge of the game,

And so, Gods Unchained now feels comfortable releasing a roadmap of their development plans for the rest of the year.

Gods Unchained Roadmap banner

Gods Unchained Roadmap

Gods Unchained released a roadmap image showing several cards with certain features and milestones. We’re give no timetable for these developments, but presumably they will occur in the order on the cards.

First up we have new game modes, including a Sealed Deck option. Alternate game modes are something that Gods Unchained players have waited a long time for! I really hope they can deliver on this one!

And, to make your life a little more exciting, there will be a new pack opening interface, with new pack opening graphics!

After that comes a Content Creator program, and a staking dashboard for their GODS token. We don’t know much about the Creator program except that it will offer “exciting collaborations, exclusive opportunities, and recognition for the exceptional content you create.” The GODS dashboard will let players easily see and manage their staking rewards and will expand to include additional functionality in the future.

The official launch of the mobile app should come later this year. With plans for both Android and iOS versions, this could potentially bring in new players to Gods Unchained. There is also a planned rewrite of the server architecture to improve game performance. And an un-named, major expansion as well!

The final card has the title of “Progression Update”. But any further details are covered in mist and the official blog post provided no further details. Perhaps more information will come out of the AMA on Discord on May 25th, 10am AET. Daniel Perez, the Executive Producer at Gods Unchained, will be there to answer any questions about the 2023 roadmap.

Can Gods Unchained Meet Their Roadmap Goals?

All of this looks good on paper. But as an old-time Gods Unchained player, I’m wondering what happened to the Official Genesis Tournament that was supposed to happen back in 2019. I still have my entry tickets!

Gods Unchained has a notorious history of slow updates. Whether it be new features, game updates, or even community events. But they are good at selling cards, having just completed the sale for their fifth set, and regularly see millions of dollars worth of game NFTs exchanged between players every month.

However, new features, card balancing, patches, and other basic stuff still seems to give them some trouble. It took them three years to deliver Etherbots cards. We’re still waiting for card Chests to make it to Immutable. And they were ‘making good progress’ on a mobile app as far back as 2021!

But, as one GU player put it, “If they can reliably deliver on a lackluster roadmap, I’m all for it at this point.” So we’ll be watching Gods Unchained closely to see if they can deliver on this roadmap over the next few months!

A new promo card will arrive soon in Splinterlands. This card, Zyriel, is the first tradeable card to have the Weapons Training ability, and the first ever Splinterlands card to have two elements! And as a creature of both Light and Dark, Zyriel is sure to see many a battle!

Another promo card sale is coming to Splinterlands. The card up for sale this time around is known as Zyriel. Zyriel is a legendary card that has two splinter affinities – Life and Death. This means that summoners from either Splinter can use her in battel! Zyriel is the first dual-element card that Splinterlands has released, though don’t be surprised to see more arriving with future promotions and maybe even the next card set!

There will be 15,000 copies of this card available when it goes on sale. Each card will cost 80,000 DEC tokens (~$80). Though that price can be reduced by up to 50% with Vouchers. Only DEC tokens can be used for this sale — DEC batteries (DEC-B) cannot be used for this purchase. Each card purchased has a 4% chance of being a gold foil and purchasing 25 cards at once gurantees at least one gold foil card. There is no limit on how many total a wallet can mint, though each purchase is limited to a maximum of 25 cards.

The sale begins on May 2nd, 2023, at 4pm EST and will run for 30 days or until the cards sell out.

Stats for Zyriel

Zyriel, a new promo card from Splinterlands
Zyriel, a new dual element promo card from Splinterlands

Zyriel is a rather nice card. Not only is she usable across different elements, but she also comes with Weapons Training (gives attack values to adjacent, non-attack creatures) and Leech Life at level one. Her abilities expand to include Divine Shield and Rust as she levels up. She is a bit on the slow side, but that is a perfect fit for matches that include the Reversed Speed ruleset!

But even at a reduced price of $40 each, this is still a rather expensive card. With the recent decline in active accounts playing Splinterlands, it will be interesting to see how quickly Zyriel sells out. Or even if it sells out at all (though I suspect that it will).

What is Splinterlands?

Splinterlands is a browser-based, play-to-earn, trading card game running on the Hive blockchain. Splinterlands features two tokens. Dark Energy Crystals (DEC), the primary game currency, and Splintershards (SPS), a governance token.

Splinterlands is a cross between a deck-building game and an auto-battler. Players use their cards to build a combat lineup based on the rules of the match. Then, once both sides submit their teams, the cards run in auto-battle mode until only one team remains. Players earn rewards for winning matches, and can also earn additional rewards through Daily Quests, Seasonal rewards, and a recurring, two-week leaderboard contest.

Gods Unchained prepares to release their latest set, known as Band of the Wolf. Available only for four weeks, and limited in the number of packs available, Band of the Wolf introduces thirty-eight new cads to the game as well as a new ability and a ‘crafting’ system.

The next card set for Gods Unchained arrives at the end of March. Band of the Wolf brings thirty-eight new cards to this fantasy TCG. It also adds a crafting system, and a new card ability called Ally.

Unfortunately, we haven’t gotten to see any details on the cards, or the new ability yet. But, we do have quite a bit of info about the sale and other, related rewards!

Band of the Wolf Sale Info

Band of the Wolf packs go on sale starting on March 30th (4pm PT) and will be available until April 27th (also 4pm PST) or until the packs run out. Whichever comes first.

The Band of the Wolf sale offers four different pack types, ranging in price from $2 for a two card ‘Crafting Pack’, up to $210 for a ‘Super Shiny Pack’, which contains five cards, three of which are guaranteed to be Epic or Legendary. Early shoppers receive a discount on packs during this sale. The discount starts at 10%, and scales down until $600k worth packs have been sold, at which point everyone has to pay retail price.

Band of the Wolf is a limited edition set, with a total of 223,500 packs for sale (though only 500 Super Shiny packs will be available), and another 125,100 packs reserved for distribution during the Weekend Ranked events and other giveaways and promotions. Any unsold packs at the end of the sale will be retained by the GU team for future promotions.

some card art from Band of the Wolf
these Legendary cards can only be crafted

Band of the Wolf Crafting

Band of the Wolf introduces a new ‘crafting system’, that really seems needlessly complex. This system encourages players to use the Forge to combine cards to a higher Shine level. Personally, I hate the Gods Unchained Forge interface as it requires a carpal tunnel-inducing number of clicks (note: apparently GU has reduced the number of clicks it takes for forging since I last tried, but it’s still somewhat of a tedious process). But for those willing to push through the pain, crafting a Diamond level Common or a Gold Rare, Band of the Wolf card, will earn a Meteorite level Epic card. Forging a Shadow Epic card results in a reward of a Meteorite Legendary.

Of course, players have the option of skipping all of this work and just purchasing more expensive packs that come with guaranteed Epic cards. However, this crafting system is the ONLY way for players to acquire the six, domain-specific Legendary cards. And if you want to get a Shiny version of those legendaries, you will need to craft multiple copies. Good times!

See this blog post for a breakdown on which card upgrades lead to which rewards.

More rewards from Band of the Wolf

And like their last couple of sales, this one includes Trinket rewards. Those who collect the two Neutral Legendary cards from this set, Hortuk, Fallen Commander and Eiko, Undaunted Duellist, will receive a Siege of Raneko Board. In addition, if all the players combined play at 250k matches with at least one Band of the Wolf card in their deck, then all participants will receive a War Banner Trinket.

The rewards for the Weekend Ranked events will also be bolstered with Band of the Wolf packs. Anyone who earns a Rare Mortal Judgement pack during the Ranked Weekend during the sale will also receive three Crafting packs. Those who win Epic MJ packs receive five Crafting packs, and Legendary winners receive 10 Crafting packs plus two Booster packs! Gods Unchained will also hand out Crafting packs to anyone who plays a match on launch day, and additional bonus packs to random players who use their crafting system during the sale.

What is Gods Unchained?

Gods Unchained is a free-to-play, collectible card game. Built on the Ethereum blockchain, Gods Unchained uses the Immutable X layer-2 solution for gas-free trading. Players retain full ownership over their cards. Players can earn digital ‘Core’ cards by playing the game. When a player has two identical Core cards, they can mint these into one blockchain-based card. That card is then tradeable on the markets.

Gods Unchained offers several play and earn opportunities. Players gain cards by being active players, win packs while competing in the weekend tournaments, and earn GODS tokens by playing daily.

With several expansions its belt, Gods Unchained has a wide variety of cards for different playstyles. Gods Unchained currently sells packs for Mortal Judgment. Players can buy and open packs from the official site. Secondary sales are available on the Immutable X Marketplace and Token Trove.

Gods Unchained moves into their first public pre-alpha for their new mobile client. Beginning on February 24th, 2023, invited players can try out the Gods Unchained gameplay on their Android device, and provide feedback to help the team fix bugs and improve the experience!

The web3 space is hitting the mobile gamers from both sides. Some web3 games are moving into mobile like Gods Unchained, while other, already existing mobile games are incorporating NFTs and blockchain tokens.

This first Gods Unchained mobile alpha test opens up first for those on the elected Council of Mortals, and those with Mount Olympus access (access to mount Olympus is for players with large collections of GU cards). Access to the mobile pre-alpha for these folks opens on February 24th, while others will be allowed to join on February 28th. Anyone who played during February has a chance to receive an invite.

Invitees will receive a download link as well as instructions. Check your email inbox! This pre-alpha test runs for one month, through March 22nd. The Gods Unchained team asks that all participants leave any feedback they have in a special mobile alpha Discord chat.

This first test is also for Android only. An iOS version will be available in the future.

The Gods Unchained mobile version is fully compatible and connected with the desktop version. It should have all the same gameplay functionality. For now, it is just the actual gameplay. Deck building, The Forge, the Star Store, and other client features aren’t yet available on the mobile version. The alpha runs on the main network, so any matches played will reflect on your game account.

For more information you can read the official blog post.

Another alpha arrives soon! This one from the sci-fi themed, TCG, Parallel. Though only open to those who receive invites, early access applications for Parallel are open to everyone.

Parallel has been steadily dropping new packs every few months. And now, at last, collectors can see those cards in action during the early access, closed alpha!

Players can apply for early access at https://parallel.life/earlyaccess/ . The Parallel team has said that email invites will start going out on February 22nd, for the planned alpha launch date on February 28th.

The specs for playing the alpha are pretty minimal. Windows 7+, 8G RAM, 3G of disk space. Though I don’t think you need to own any NFTs to join the alpha, I imagine that those with large card collections may be given priority access.

The Parallel cards have a very distinctive, dark, art style. You can pick cards up on Open Sea for as cheap as $1.50 (USD).

Interestingly, NFTs in parallel do not include the game stats. This is to allow the team to make changes and balances as needed. They also open a card ‘faucet’ on a regular cadence. Players who trigger the faucet can receive a free NFT card, paying only the gas fees involved.

Parallel offers five ‘Parallels’, which are similar to gods / summoners / champions / etc in other games.

Players can bank one card per turn, and on a turn that they bank a card, they draw an extra card at the end of their turn.

Parallel features a play and earn feature. Players who win matches with NFT cards in their deck receive PRIME tokens. But Parallel will include a free to play option as well.

PRIME is the main game token, and card collectors can already earn some by staking their cards. Also, Parallel offers a card creation tool called Payload. Players can pay a fee in PRIME tokens to generate new cards.

To learn more about Parallel, visit their website, follow them on Twitter, and join their Discord.

Cross the Ages, a collectible card game, announces a new marketplace for their collectible cards on Immutable X. This move brings a gas-free option for players collecting NFTs, and puts another feather in the hat of Immutable X!

Another game joins the ever-growing crowd on Immutable X. Cross the Ages, a collectible card game announced the opening of their new marketplace on IMX.

With gas-free NFT trading, Immutable X continues to attract players and game developers. Offering NFTs from over a dozen collections, as well as use of a large number of tokens for payments, the IMX marketplace continues to grow.

This move brings extra exposure for Cross the Ages, as well as providing a way for their players to buy and sell NFT game cards without paying heavy amounts of fees. Cross the Ages is currently in open beta and players can download the game from their website.

Cross the Ages also recently partnered with DeQuest to create a series of quests with potential raffle rewards.

What is Cross The Ages?

Cross the Ages is a collectible NFT card game where players face off in intense turn-based duel matches. Each match lasts about five minutes. The game’s objective is to conquer and control more area of the battle arena than their opponent. Each game, players start with a selection of 20 digital cards. Then, 10 cards are randomly selected to form the player’s deck, and the fight starts.

Kind of a cross between a collectible card game and the classic game of Go. Players choose creatures to play from their hand onto the board, trying to overpower the opponent’s creatures and flip them. If placed properly, a creature can cause adjacent creatures to flip to the owner’s side. Element affinities for cards have an effect as well, creating room for complex strategies.

The game has a rather unique idea of converting digital cards into physical ones, merging the digital and physical worlds.

Cross the Ages includes three different currencies, Trisel, Prana, and CTA. Trisel is the basic in-game currency. Players earn Trisel by winning matches and can then spend it to buy in-game assets. Prana seems to be just a conversion token to allow for purchase of game chests and cosmetics. Players buy Prana from the game shop.

CTA is the primary token, used for minting NFTs, joining tournaments, and transforming NFTs in physical cards. Players can acquire CTA by converting Prana tokens, or purchasing it directly from external markets.

What is Immutable X?

Immutable X is an Ethereum layer 2 scaling solution for NFTs. Developed as an offshoot from Gods Unchained, when the team realized that high gas fees were a major hindrance to card trading, Immutable X has grown quickly into a significant NFT marketplace. Immutable X has attracted a growing array of projects to its platform. Some notable names include Gods Unchained, Guild of Guardians, Illuvium, and Ember Sword. But it’s not just for gaming NFTs. Immutable X also hosts dozens of other NFT projects.

The platform went live in 2021 and launched its token later that year. There are no gas fees when trading on IMX. However, there are ‘protocol’ fees of 2% on every trade and sometimes market fees from the projects as well. The platform supports over a dozen tokens including ETH, IMX, GODS, and GOG tokens. Most tokens for the games available on the platform can be used for purchases.
