Wildcard, an eSports focused, PvP, arena-style game released some news about their upcoming NFT mint and Game Exhibition happening over the next couple of months.

Wildcard, an in-development PvP, arena, eSports game, announced an upcoming game showcase and an NFT mint for their Genesis collection!

On February 23rd, Wildcard will be hosting a special game exhibition to showcase their gameplay and kick off a marketing campaign.

Dubbed Melee on the Meteor, this exhibition show will feature several matches. The first round is a best of three match among two of the best community playtesters. The second game will see two web3 streamers face-off. And then, in the final round, the winners from the first two rounds compete in a final bout for ultimate champion! And as a built-in part of the game, everyone who streams the event appears as an avatar in the crowd!

This is an interesting way to open a preview of the game while still controlling access. And since they have this eSport, arena feature built-in to the game, it’s a great way to test that functionality as well! This will be an open viewing for everyone, though the game may feature a ticketing system for bigger events as popularity grows.

We don’t really know much too about the game. But seemingly part deck builder, part twitch gaming, part auto-battler, part tower defense, Wildcard seems to have the potential for some very interesting gameplay.

To join in on playtests for Wildcard, players need to get on the allowlist. Wildcard has built a system around a Discord role known as Collector. Players can build up their Collector status, earning various rewards and bonuses along the way. Collector status ties in to a pin collection system. Participate in various Wildcard social media events to earn pins and raise your status. If you want to be a part of this system, you should head over to Discord and get linked up ASAP (though I’m continually being booted from their server for some reason)!

Wild Mint

The Wildcard team also revealed some details about their first mint which will occur sometime towards the end of March. This mint will be for packs of cards that hold NFTs to use in the game. The mint will be on the Polygon blockchain.

This first mint will be considered the Genesis collection. The specific creatures with their specific art will not be available again. Available are twelve creature summons in six rarity variants. Wild is the rarest of the rarities. These are unique, 1/1 cards. Rarities will provide various out of game bonuses, but won’t have any effect on gameplay. The Wildcard team says that have another 50 creature summons in various stages of design and development that will be released in later collections.

This first mint will be a limited collection. Details on supplies and prices are still yet to be revealed. There will also likely be early access available to the mint for those with the Collector role.

What is Wildcard?

Wildcard is a PvP, esport game. Gameplay revolves around building a deck of cards, then using those in a real-time arena to summon allies as you team tries to destroy your opponent’s goal. Players must actively play their Champion in-game, while also utilizing their cards to best effect.

To learn more about Wildcard, visit their website, follow them on Twitter, and join their Discord.

In partnership with eight different, eSports teams, Guild of Guardians brings us a limited edition sale. This sale includes eight Legendary Heroes, each one created in collaboration with the associated team.

A new set of Heroes arrives in the world of Guild of Guardians. This set of eight legendary Heroes was created in partnership with eight eSports teams. Specifically, Cloud9, Fnatic, NAVI, Ninjas in Pyjamas, NRG, SK Gaming, T1, and Team Liquid!

eSports Heroes Sale

This sale includes eight legendary heroes, one for each of the eSports team partners. Each Hero will cost ~$99 (priced in ETH) and only 16,000 will be sold. The public sale begins on February 19th, at 10am AEDT, though there will be an allowlist for early access.

Those on the allowlist can purchase these heroes for 24 hours before the sale opens to the public. To get on the allowlist, you must either own a Guild of Guardians hero, or complete all of the missions in an upcoming community challenge.

The sale will occur on the IMX marketplace, so no gas fees will be involved with the sale itself. Though you will need to transfer ETH into IMX first if you don’t already have funds there, and that does incur a gas fee cost.

This a one-time, limited edition sale, and it will last for one week (or until sold out). Each summon has a chance to be a special edition, color variant, with the following odds: 10% Warrior, 2% Elite, and a unique, 1 of 1 Mythic.

Each hero is fully playable in game (once the game launches), and comes with their own exclusive perks and utilities. This includes access to exclsuive leaderboards with their own sets of prizes, unique cosmetic items and other collectibles, as well as potential access to real life events and merchandise.

Guild of Guardians plans to have a number of special events and giveaways leading up to the sale. So keep an eye out on their Twitter and Discord channels for announcements.

Ultra Arena, a new blockchain-based tournament system, has recently been launched by Ultra, a decentralized gaming platform. The platform aims to bring transparency and fairness to the world of esports, which has historically been plagued by issues such as match-fixing and cheating.

Ultra Arena is built on the Ultra platform, which utilizes blockchain technology to create a secure and transparent environment for gaming. With Ultra Arena, players can participate in tournaments and compete for prizes while also having the assurance that the results are fair and accurate.

Ultra Arena: A Key Component of the Ultra Ecosystem for Secure and Transparent Competitive Gaming

One of the key features of Ultra Arena web3 tournament system is its dashboard. It provides players with a centralized location to browse and enter tournaments, track their statistics, and manage their teams. The dashboard also includes a profile section, which displays a player’s gaming history and accomplishments on the platform. This includes information such as the player’s rank, the number of tournaments they have participated in, and their win/loss record.

Ultra Arena Tournament System Dashboard

The tournament page is another important feature of Ultra Arena. This page provides detailed information about each tournament, including the rules, regulations, and prizes. In addition, players can view the list of participating teams and track the tournament’s progress through the bracket system. The tournament page also includes a chat function, which allows players to communicate with each other and discuss strategies.

Ultra Arena Tournament Page

In terms of prizes, Ultra Arena offers a variety of rewards for players. These includes in-game items and $UOS (Ultra Operating System), a cryptocurrency used within the Ultra ecosystem. Players can earn these rewards by competing in tournaments and performing well in their matches. The prizes offered by Ultra Arena can vary depending on the tournament, with some offering larger and more valuable rewards for top performers.

Ultra Arena is currently in its beta testing phase and is available to a select group of players. However, the company plans to roll out the platform to a wider audience in the near future. Click here to download Ultra and follow the official Twitter handle to stay up to date.

Ultra Arena: A Leading Web3 Gaming Platform for the Future

The closed beta of Ultra Arena, a blockchain-based tournament system on the decentralized gaming platform Ultra, embodies the company’s vision for the future of web3 gaming. In 2023, the app is expected to become a prominent member of the Ultra ecosystem. It will be a valuable marketing tool for game developers on the platform.

Players and developers can look forward to various rewards in Ultra Arena, including game tokenization and the opportunity to participate in a thriving competitive environment. The platform aims to establish itself as a leader in the web3 gaming industry. It offers a trusted and reliable platform for brands, organizations, influencers, developers, and gamers to engage in competitive gaming.

About Ultra

Ultra is a decentralized gaming platform that offers various services for players, developers, and the games industry. With a single login, users can access all of the different features and tools within the platform. These includes the Ultra Games store for purchasing and playing games, a marketplace for buying and selling in-game items, a social platform for connecting with other players, and a development platform for creating and publishing games.

In addition to these features, Ultra also offers live-streaming feeds, contests, tournaments, and the opportunity to interact with influencers and participate in various activities. The platform has been designed to provide endless value for players, a fair and equal playing field for developers, and new opportunities for the video gaming industry as a whole.

What is Ultra Games?

Ultra Games is a digital distribution platform for gaming products, providing all key games industry services under a single roof, accessible through a single login. They will provide access to centralized and decentralized services: Discover, buy, play and sell your games and in-game items, watch live-streaming feeds, interact with your favorite influencers, participate in contests, compete in tournaments and much more.

Ultra Games sounds a lot like steam, but instead using blockchain and NFTs. It has its own UOS blockchain, its own UOS token for online payments, and a system for NFTs. These NFTs can be games or additional content. Because these games can be NFTs, there’s an actual market cap on the games. Therefore limited edition content is actually limited edition, provable by data on the blockchain.

Ultra will be accessible on PC and the Atari VCS game console. At the same time the gaming company will make some of its classic games available through Ultra. The entire Ultra platform will integrate into the gaming console. Users can buy, download, play, trade, and stream games. In addition they can trade in-game assets and create esports tournaments.

The game distribution platform is also working together with The Sandbox. Together they want to create cross-chain interoperability for non-fungible tokens. This will mean that the ERC-721 and ERC-1155 protocols will be compatible with the UOS blockchain. As soon as this is functional, it will be easy for other blockchain games to move their product over to the UOS blockchain. Free and fast transactions would be an additional benefit of such a move.

Kiraverse, a new third-person shooter built with Unreal Engine 5, is soon releasing its Open Beta version on the Immutable X blockchain! Players can count on being able to use NFTs from other collections, cross-platform gameplay, and an AAA-quality game. Its community is already large and a partnership with GameStop was already made.

Kiraverse is being developed by Param Labs and has been in a private alpha since Q3 of 2022. The next phase is the public alpha and the ‘Season 1: Training Grounds’, which will be initially available for NFT holders in Q4 of 2022. Initially, there will be two main game modes available:

 • Battle Royale – Solos, duos, trios, squads
 • Elimination – 1vs1 up to 10vs10

Then each game mode will be playable in three different extensions:

 • Free Extension – just for fun
 • Wager Extension – survive to win cash prizes
 • Earn per Kill Extension – each kill equals higher rewards

Both last extensions are more competitive and players will be rewarded if they are successful in outplaying their opponents. Another interesting feature is vehicles, the team mentioned on their tweeter that players will have access to Motorcycles, hoverboards, flying cars, and armored trucks. Besides vehicles, the team also showed intentions of bringing Kiraverse to the Esports world.

This is the type of fast-paced action game where players will need to develop fast reflexes to survive. It will be easy to kill and even easier to get killed in Kiraverse’s game modes.

KIRA, NFTs and Play-and-Earn

Many titles are choosing Immutable X as their ecosystem, and Kiraverse is no exception. By interacting with Immutable X and partnering up with GameStop, Kiraverse’s NFTs will be available on both marketplaces. When it comes to this project’s NFT collection there is a total supply of 10,001 characters that can be used in-game and they have the following utility:

 • More KIRA tokens when playing
 • Renting
 • Staking to earn KIRA
 • Free matches
 • Free in-game skins
 • Purchase/earn all characters and weapons
 • NFT integrate as an in-game avatar

You can check out the collection on the GameStop NFT marketplace.

NFTs from other collections will also be used as in-game avatars like Meta Boy, Pudgy Penguins, and BAYC.

Then there is KIRA, which is an in-game token and not a cryptocurrency. KIRA can be purchased with FIAT and will be used to buy NFTs from Kira’s marketplace. Players will not be able to trade KIRA, but they will be able to sell the NFTs they buy with KIRA.

Even though this is a Web3 Play-and-Earn game it is completely free to play. Every player will be able to access all the content of Kiraverse without any cost.

Though Guild of Guardians has run a couple of successful demo/beta playtests, the GoG team has decided to delay the launch of their game. The feedback for the game preview was generally positive, but Guild of Guardians has grand plans for onboarding millions of players into the web3 ecosystem, and they want to make sure that they put out a high-quality offering.

First impressions can be important. Especially for suspicious gamers. And so, Guild of Guardians wants to make sure that they look their best when they market their game to those who are not familiar with blockchain technology. They also want to provide a seamless, wallet onboarding system for all of their players. In light of this, Guild of Guardians decided to push the launch of their game back to 2023.

Now we don’t have any real specifics about when or what to expect in 2023. Presumably this announcement is referring to the alpha release, which was previously planned for the end of 2022. But, with a less than useful roadmap and no date estimates, it’s hard to make any predictions. Though it seems clear that we should not expect to see anything substantial released this year.

Guild of Guardians has been releasing irregular updates in the form of Dev Diaries. The latest shows us some of their plans for Guilds. We saw interface previews for the Guild Hall, Raid preparation, and Guild crafting.

In addition, the Ambassador team for GoG is working on creating events and activities to engage the player community. One of the first up will be Trivia Nights on Thursdays, with prizes available. Join the Guild of Guardians Discord and keep an eye on the announcements channel for further details.

It looks like the play-to-earn tournament season is not over, and that means more prizes for the most skilled players! MetaOps, the Solana-based FPS has partnered with the Fractal launchpad to launch their first tournament. The tournament starts on August 29 at 10 am PT and will last for 36 hours. The tournament is open to all and free-to-play, let’s dive into some of the details.

The MetaOps tournament starts today, August 29 at 10 am PT and will end on August 30 at 10 pm PT. To enter, you simply need to head over to fractal.is/metaops, download the installer, create an account and link your Fractal wallet. That’s it, an easy and free onboarding experience that is becoming Fractal’s trademark!

On the gameplay side, players will spawn with a pistol and face infinite waves of AI enemies. Each kill will give you cash, and with this cash, you will be able to upgrade your weapon. The number of attempts is unlimited and the goal is to reach the top of the leaderboard.

Prize pool

 • 1st: 2,500 $MODS, 1x Custom MetaOps x EFAS Ship, 1x Founder’s Pass, 1x PFP, 1x CQC Melee Weapon (distributed after the mint is over)
 • 2nd: 2,000 $MODS, 1x Custom MetaOps x EFAS Ship, 1x Founder’s Pass, 1x PFP, 1x CQC Melee Weapon
 • 3rd: 1,500 $MODS, 1x Founder’s Pass, 1x PFP, 1x CQC Melee Weapon
 • 4th-10th: 1,000 $MODS (7,000 total), 1x PFP each
 • 11th-20th: 400 $MODS (4,000 total), 1x PFP each
 • 21st-30th: 300 $MODS (3,000 total)

For now, the $MODS token is only available to NFT holders via staking of their NFTs, so it’s hard to tell how much they will be worth. The thing that we know is that the gameplay is fun and fast-paced, so that’s already a win!

In addition, every participant will be airdropped a whitelist token for the upcoming MetaOps melee mint planned for August 31. You can read the full details on this medium post and watch the video tutorial below.

]]>
On a quest to amass more play-to-earn enthusiasts, Fractal is introducing their official Streamers program. Participants can earn free NFTs and exposure to alpha stage games in exchange for promoting Fractal on their streams.

Fractal has always placed a strong emphasis on streaming, and all of their most recent tournaments have been streamed on Twitch, which seems like an obvious choice given that Fractal is presented by Twitch co-founder Justin Kan.

Streamers on the program will get a personalized Fractal Streamer badge overlay, meet and playtest Fractal Launchpad games with devs before launch, participate in exclusive streamers-only tournaments, and be invited to the Fractal Alpha Server.

The team also announced streamers might receive free NFTs and trophies along the way. More details are likely to be announced in the coming days on Fractal’s Medium and Discord.

Fractal Streamers Program Requirements

The first cohort will end on the 10th of July. The Fractal team is currently looking to partner with 15-20 Twitch Streamers on an ongoing basis.

A second cohort will surely be announced after this, but we’re not aware of the exact dates.

To apply, send a DM @fractalwagmi on Twitter with a link to your Twitch channel. The only requirements are:

 • Your Twitch Channel reached 50 people;
 • You streamed for a minimum of 8 hours;
 • You streamed on 7 different days;
 • On average, at least 3 people watch your streams;
 • You agree to participate in all Fractal Game Tournaments;
 • If selected, you will need to stream Fractal Games for 8+ hours per month with the Fractal Overlay on. To count your hours towards this requirement, share a clip on Twitter with a link to your Twitch after each stream. Make sure to tag @fractalwagmi and the game!

What Kind of Games You Need To Play

Fractal currently supports a plethora of new games, and their partners include some of the most reputable games in the industry, such as The Harvest and Neoland.

The platform seems to have a focus on FPS titles, as over 50% of the games on the trending leaderboard include shooting mechanics. Ev.io is the most popular FPS title, but the upcoming EFAS tournament might shift the balance.

The #1 ranking project is “Tiny Colony”, a pixelated ecosystem built on the Solana blockchain, encompassing various game modes, events, and experiences; including the first-ever Construction and Management Simulation Blockchain Game.

It’s important to note most Fractal-sponsored games are still in early-stage and might be unstable. You should consider how your audience will respond to pre-alpha gameplay footage.

The team didn’t clearly specify any particular bonus inside their games, which means you might be restricted to playing free games only if you’re not willing to invest. We can’t seem to find an indication on whether they will offer you a free NFT for games that require one to play.

It’s worth mentioning most games on Fractal right now are in the pre-alpha stage, and might present a less than optimal lobbying or multiplayer experience.

Before committing to streaming Fractal Games for a large number of hours per month, as well as including the banner on all other streams, consider interacting with their community more to see if it piques your interest!

What is Fractal

Fractal NFT Marketplace

Fractal is an open NFT marketplace for buying, discovering, and selling NFTs on the Solana network. It helps create an ecosystem where game companies list NFT drops and game assets for players to buy. Players can search for NFTs, buy them, and resell too. The Fractal Marketplace is positioning itself as the first primary marketplace for Solana gaming NFTs.

Fractal has already partnered with several projects, including House of Sparta, Tiny Colony, Yaku Corp, Cinder, Nekoverse, Metawana, MetaOps, and Psyker. Every mint that Fractal has launched is sold out, and the mint with Tiny Colony sold over $2M of NFTs.

The main aim of Fractal is to create a marketplace dedicated to game-related NFTs and provide top-notch transparency and security through the blockchain. It also aims to reduce dependence on existing game marketplaces and pave the way to disrupt the current ecosystem.

In April 2022, Fractal raised over $35m in funding to lead the GameFi expansion.

Wagyu Games, the creator of the play-to-earn zombie survival game Undead Blocks, has announced its first official tournament, Pistol Speedrun, which will take place from July 8 to 10. The game’s open beta version was launched in May and the community’s feedback is pretty good so far. The Pistol Speedrun Tournament will have a prize pool of $20,000, giving NFT holders a chance to start earning.

In the Pistol Speedrun Tournament, players have to shoot down 100 zombies as fast as possible with their pistols. The faster you make kills, the more your chance of winning a share of the $20K prize pool will be. The tournament will last three days until July 10, 2022.

This is a huge milestone for Undead Blocks since it will be the first opportunity for early adopters to earn and get some value out of their investment. Every participant will earn in some capacity, with the top player earning $1000. To participate in this tournament, you need an NFT of one of the Undead Blocks collections: Genesis Weapons or Apocalypse Weapons. The floor price for the Genesis Weapons collection currently sits at 0.28 ETH.

The team plans to organize more tournaments in the future. The next tournaments planned for this summer will be sponsored this summer by Polkastarter Gaming & Volt Inu.

Pistol Speedrun Game Mode

The Pistol Speedrun game mode will be released on July 4, 2022, allowing players to practice their shooting skills before the tournament. The developers have integrated anti-cheat features. In addition, the game mode launch will have more features such as ADS sensitivity, inverted camera options, and a new game launcher.

Arenum is a DeFi platform focused on mobile gaming tournaments. The team hosted 4 IDO events on SolRazr, Trustpad, Occam, and Infinite Launch. The platform is running on the Solana Blockchain.

After a successful set of IDOs and private funding above $1m, Arenum proved there’s a gap in the market for a Solana-powered platform for gaming tournaments.

Although not live at the moment, Arenum is set to launch their play to earn mechanics on May 15th. For the time being, they’re putting the platform to the test with nine mobile casual games and a tournament platform where players can win gems that may be traded for NFTs in the future Arenum Metaverse.

The ambitious project can be segmented into three pieces: the Arenum Platform, the complimentary Scorebeat App, and the Arenum Token – $ARN.

Arenum Platform

Arenum is the tournament platform where players can register for tournaments for PUBG mobile, Call of Duty mobile, Garena Free Fire, and Brawl Stars. Most of them are recurring tournaments, with Brawl Stars being the most popular game with 40+ tournaments per day.

Anyone can register to the platform for free and sign up for the daily tournaments. The details to join the room and participate will be posted 10-15 minutes before the first round starts.

There’s a set amount of gems up to grab for each tournament. Players in the top positions will get the most gems. As of now, gems are not coins or tokens, and they can’t be traded for the governance token ($ARN) – they’re simply in-game collectibles.

Arenum confirmed the gems will be exchangeable for NFTs once the platform releases on the 15th of May.

In its final release, Arenum will include an SDK for all developers to integrate with, and a full incentive platform to reward players that engage with partner games through tournaments, missions, or daily quests.

The main goal of the platform is to provide game developers with the tools they need to attract new players, and the cost per acquisition lowers dramatically if Arenum focuses on matching players with a set of games rather than a single one.

Additionally, rewarding players for spending time in partner games is an effective incentive for the billions of players worldwide to approach NFTs and crypto. The platform is free and will remain free, even after the release.

Free players get limited access to tournaments and have no perks. The more $ARN you stake in the platform, the more tournaments, and perks, you can access.

There’s an overarching game in the Arenum Metaverse, specifically an auto-battler. While winning tournaments in the testing phase will only get you gems, winning them in the released platform will get you tokens and eggs.

Eggs can be bred for a more valuable one or can be hatched to obtain a monster. Monsters can be used to fight in the PvP auto battler.

Scorebeat

Scorebeat, on the other hand, is where the developers are testing out new ideas for upcoming titles they want to release. The platform is home to nine mini-games: Bouncing Balls, Rise Up, Merge Masters, Diamond Jump, Boom Ballz, Knives Hit, Dunk Stars, Flappy Doggo, and Classic 2048.

The games will reward you with coins. The coins are visual achievements, and they serve no real purpose other than testing the games.

The team wants to release over 200 mini-games like these to test out different features and host casual tournaments from time to time.

Arenum Tokenomics

Token Arenum Distribution

Just like any other side of Arenum, the Tokenomics is focused on Tournaments. The total supply is 100,000,000 – with 17.5% dedicated to community incentives.

Depending on how much $ARN you stake, you will get a tier from Tier IV to Tier I and, eventually, Tier God.

 • Tier IV allows you to join in most tournaments, but premium ones will be locked for you. Cashing out prizes will be expensive, and getting good eggs to hatch nearly impossible;
 • Tier III requires a stake of 20 $ARN, including a free starter pack with an egg for the NFT auto battler. Tier III players get some perks like an NFT badge and special events. They also get a 5% referral bonus from friends they refer to Arenum;
 • Tier II requires a stake of 80 $ARN, and will reward players with 24/7 premium support, lower commission fees to cash out, and premium tournaments;
 • Tier I requires a stake of 160 $ARN, and it’s the tier that allows creating tournaments on their platform. It also gives players a high chance to drop a rare egg;
 • Tier 0 requires a stake of 1,000 $ARN. This tier is for developers that want to add games to the platform and benefit from gamers Arenum attracted to the tournaments. They can have infinitely deep referral links, create custom pools for prizes, and have a personal support manager. Tier 0 is also referred to as “Tier God”.

Regardless of a player’s participation in the tier system, players do not need to stake to have access to the platform. To learn more about the Tokenomis, refer to their whitepaper.

In Conclusion

Background Arenum

With a promising roadmap featuring multiple mini-games and an upcoming release, Arenum is set to be a platform we’ll keep covering in the following weeks.

Although their promises might be delayed due to the position of the team, which seems to be in Russia at the moment, most of their roadmap is on track.

The project does have some quite ambitious goals, and the information about how the prizes will work is scattered and sometimes inconsistent. This is usual for new projects, and once the initial version of Arenum goes online on May 15th, they should be able to clearly define how and when the play-to-earn mechanisms will be in place.

Since the previous IDO, their Discord server appears to be dormant and quite empty, and their Twitter profile exhibits similar indications of inactivity. We hope they will be able to resume publishing shortly.
