While the bulk of the gaming world still scoffs at the idea of NFTs (all while more than willing to sink money into closed system gaming markets) and thinks they are nothing more than overly expensive JPGs, the blockchain gaming world continues to move forward. And that is readily apparent with the steady stream of game updates, alpha releases, and new mints. Read on to discover a few games to keep an eye on in June!

Planet Mojo, an upcoming autochess-type, battler game, is holding their fist NFT sale right now! Players can purchase a Mojo Seed and sprout it will be airdropped four heroes, put on the whitelist for future sales, receive early access to the game, and more! Splinterlands New Reward System

Though not a new game, the release of the new rewards system in Splinterlands is making some waves in the community. This new system discourages the use of bots at low levels, and encourages players to either own, or rent their own cards. And though already robust, the rental and secondary sales markets should see an increase in activity as players settle into the updated reward system.

Splinterlands also continues to sell licenses for their upcoming validator nodes. The first batch sold out in 11 minutes!

Uplift World – DAO Token Airdrop

Though Uplift World was the first to build a blockchain game on top of Minecraft, they have faded a bit from public consciousness over the past year. But that should reverse course as the Uplift World prepares to drop the first phase of their DAO token and jumpstart community governance of the project. Uplift World runs on the WAX ecosystem.

Ember Sword June Giveaways

Though we don’t have news on the next phase of their alpha, Ember Sword is offering up 20 land plots in Solarwood as prizes this month! During the month of June, Ember Sword will hold weekly contests, with the top two finishers each receiving a plot, and all entrants receiving raffle tickets for a chance to win one of the remaining 12 plots at the end of the month. Land ownership is a hot commodity in blockchain gaming. So getting the chance to own a plot of virtual land for free is not something to miss!

Mini-Royale: Nations Loot Minting

Players in Mini-Royale, the web-based FPS game, can now earn and mint weapon and avatar NFTs. Level up your character and battlepass to unlock new weapon skins, then mint those into NFTs for trading and selling! With this new feature, Mini-Royale joins a very small group of games that offer true free to play, play and earn activities. And though the graphics are rather simple, the game runs well, and matches are quick.

Illuvium Land Sale

On June 2nd, illuvium will host its first land sale. This first land sale plays out over three days. With new batches of plots released every hour once it starts. Each sale batch contains 278 plots and lasts for two hours. This sale uses what the Illuvium team calls a declining price model, with the price for plots decreasing by 2.5% every minute. Undead Blocks Tournaments

The zombie survival game which just released its open beta will host tournaments in partnership with one of their partner. More details are to come soon, but if you haven’t checked it out yet, have a look at Undead Blocks and start to kill-to-earn! Earlier this year, the founders of Uplift World decided to buy out the rights to the game from their principal investor, with the goal of converting the project into a DAO-based governance system. And now, the first phase of that project begins in earnest as the team prepares to airdrop a significant number of DAO tokens onto land holders!

The snapshot for the airdrop was take on May 1st. But if you own any plots in any of the Uplift World servers, or have burned some of their Upliftium tokens, then you are eligible for the airdrop. Visit the Uplift World website and link your Metamask wallet TODAY to join the airdrop list! Make sure to click the Link button to lock it in once you have selected your wallet. Though the game runs on the WAX blockchain, the DAO token will exist on the Ethereum network for ease of voting.

The Uplift DAO Token (UDT) will see a full mint of their 100 million tokens on the first day. 25% of the total tokens are allocated for airdrop distribution in two batches. Neither airdrop date is set, but I would expect at least one in early June. The team wants to build a real community DAO, where every big decision goes up for vote. DAO proposals and voting will occur on snapshot.org, with an initial quorum of 15% needed for a full vote. Their will be various DAO committees to take care of the actual management of the DAO. And, in true democratic spirit, the election of committee members will happen through DAO votes as well!

What is Uplift World?

Uplift World is a Minecraft based game built on the WAX blockchain. Offering player owned plots, Uplift World hosts several servers, both creative and survival types. The game features a checkboard pattern rail system for ease of travel. Many other WAX games and projects own land plots with their own special builds.

Uplift World drops WAX and Upliftium tokens to players based on their activity and plot owners based on the amount of activity on their plot. They promote a play and earn economy rather than play to earn. This system encourages plot owners to make interesting builds and hold events to attract players to their site. And indeed there are regular events on the servers. From village defense, to treasure hunts, to dance parties! , and .

Uplift World does feature its own token, but it’s for in-game use only. Players can use Upliftium to import images into the game, install portals, setup shops, and other game activities. The token iteself doesn’t exist outside of the game, but players can burn tokens into an NFT, which can then be traded on the markets and redeemed for the same amount.

R-planet, a popular, staking and discovery game on the Wax blockchain, announced the release of the much anticipated ‘boost’ feature. This will allow owners of specific R-planet lands, only the ones which have a Swineland location tag, to spend 5 million AETHER tokens to permanently link their R-planet NFT with a plot on the Minecraft servers of The Uplift World.

Once linked, the owner will be able to visit their land in Uplift, explore and build on it as much as they would like. The land on a special Minecraft server will directly connect to the R-planet NFT, which will function as an access key. After boosting, the system will add the metadata for the Uplift World plot location to the R-Planet NFT. Therefore selling or trading that NFT will also transfer ownership of the linked Uplift land plot.

AETHER benefits Uplift World

The developers have plans with the revenue generated from boosting, as they will split the funds. They will put 50% in a fund for the reward system in Uplift World, while 25% will go to Uplift’s development fund. The remaining 25% however, will be burned.

Though the boost is currently limited to lands with the Swineland location, owners of Boarvallis will also get the Uplift option in the near future.

For now, only Uplift land owners can visit the The Uplift World, but soon it will be open to the public and owning plots will provide passive income from visitors.

What is R-Planet?

The story from R-Planet is about finding planets where we can live. Humanity will pick Mars, but this requires research and testing. That’s where the NFT elements come into place. Combining these will allow humanity to discover more elements, and maybe solve the puzzle. Players will be staking NFTs, mining AETHER, buying and trading these basic materials, using them to create something new, and then the cycle continuous.

Players can stake NFTs from R-planet and many other projects on WAX to earn Aether with which to craft Elements and Boost lands. Lands produce Minerals, which players can soon use to create armies of fighting robots!

Starting from April 15th at 16:00 UTC, that’s this Thursday, land for R-Planet will be available for sale and buyers will have a chance to win some land for Uplift World. This pre-sale is only available for a select number of users, and you need to pre-register through Telegram. The public land sale will take place on April 29th.

Once players buy a piece of land, they will need 5 million AETHER tokens to upgrade their land with a boost. Doing this will give you a piece of land in Uplift World, which is a Minecraft-based virtual world where landowners earn WAX and AETHER every time someone visits.

In addition Uplift World and R-Planet also have another promotion going on. The first ten R-Planet players who are able to create an in-game material called Upliftium, will earn a plot of land (50×50) in the Londom map of the Uplift World as well as some other rewards.

Details about R-Planet land sale

In total the land sale will offer two types of packs. They will offer 2,000 small packs, which cost $50 and contain one land parcel. There’s also the big pack, which costs $150 and offers three plots of land. The big packs are interesting, because these have an increased chance of containing a piece of rare land.

Rarity is determined by the mining power from a plot. For example, 100 mining power is common, 120 uncommon, 140 rare, while 200 mining power for legendary lands will be the most valuable. Players can upgrade their land by combining elements created in the generator.

R-Planet is a game on the Wax blockchain. They launched their project with the ability the acquire AETHER by staking other NFTs in the Wax ecosystem. Players could then use that AETHER to acquire basic elements, and these then need to be used to find resources. For example, combining two earth and two water creates mud.

What is R-Planet?

Ultimately R-Planet: Evacuation is just the first phase of the game. The roadmap for R-Planet goes a lot further. After this first phase will come Colonization, during which there will be a land sale and the construction of buildings. In addition we’ll be mining on Mars, and there will be a gaming element. The third phase will be Conquest, during which players will discover a hostile enemy. There will be a sale of characters, and the construction of robots and vehicles.
