The upcoming Undead Blocks Spring Cleaning Genesis Tournament will run from April 28th through April 30th.

For this tournament, players have ten minutes to fight the zombie hordes. Each player starts with a knife and pistol, though they can buy weapons during the match as long as they hold the Genesis NFT for that weapon. This particular tournament will only allow Genesis weapons, not items from the Apocalypse set.

For those who don’t own any Genesis weapons, there is an option to rent. Renters who win rewards from the tournament will automatically have their winnings split with the NFT owners based on the percentage detailed in the rental contract.

And while killing zombies is the name of the game, what players actually want to do in this tournament is collect the ZBOXes that drop from slain zombies. These boxes contain ZBUX, and have a higher chance to spawn as more zombies are killed. When the round is over (either through time running out or player death), the total amount of ZBUX earned is counted and marked as the player’s score. Each player’s highest score goes onto the leaderboard, so multiple attempts are allowed.

And even if you don’t earn any rewards from the leaderboard, you still get to keep all the ZBUX you find!

What is Undead Blocks?

Undead Blocks is a free to play, play and earn, survival FPS, zombie shooter game running on the Ethereum network. In Undead Blocks, players fight against zombies for rewards. Players earn points for killing zombies, which they can use during a match to upgrade weapons. However, they can only upgrade to weapons they hold as NFTs. Undead Blocks does include an NFT rental system. So you don’t have to actually own any NFTs to play and earn. Undead Blocks also offers a co-op multiplayer option.

Called VIP Mode, and referred to by the team as “grind to earn”, Undead Blocks will soon allow players to earn Gold ZBUX while playing. Players can use these Gold ZBUX to upgrade their weapon packs, add weapons and attachments to their loadout, purchased limited edition, in-game items and Loot Coffins, or swapped for various cryptocurrencies.

Players with weapons from either the Genesis collection or the Apocalypse collection are eligible for VIP mode. At some point in the future, this mode will receive a new name, as voted on by those holding $UNDEAD tokens. In VIP mode, the player must survive waves of zombies to unlock ZBOXes which will contain tokens. The team will introduce a multiplayer option for VIP mode in a future update.

During VIP mode play, players can only use the weapons in their loadout. They can’t acquire new weapons during the match. So pick your NFTs wisely!

Undead Blocks will still offer their regular free to play mode. This let players play with friends to earn regular ZBUX. With these ZBUX players can purchase Loot Coffins that contain Skin NFTs and other rare items.

The first stage of VIP Mode is slated to go live on February 28th, 2023.

What is Undead Blocks?

Undead Blocks is a free to play, survival FPS zombie shooter game running on the Ethereum network. In Undead Blocks, players fight against zombies and earn rewards. Even though many developers and companies are still easing into the new year, others are developing and releasing new alphas, previews, and announcements! Here are a few games to keep an eye on over the next few weeks.

Gala Games

Not just one game, but this is an entire ecosystem to watch. Gala Games is already making a splash in 2023 with their recent acquisition of a mobile gaming company with the intent of onboarding all of their existing games onto the Gala ecosystem and upcoming Gala blockchain!

Gala Games has been criticized for starting and funding dozens of games but not delivering much. That has already started to change with the release of Superior, alphas for Legacy and Echoes of Empire, and now they just went out and outright bought a company that already has a number of existing games. We don’t have the full details on this purchase, but there should be a bigger announcement about this event soon as well as some talk about how Gala actually plans to begin incorporating this new suite of games into their ecosystem.

On top of this they also have their new Gala Music and Gala Film divisions. Gala Games will be one to watch throughout the entire year!

Mist Pre-Alpha

Mist now opens their pre-alpha to everyone! Even Mac players! They opened a closed alpha test for NFT holders about a month ago, and I guess the testing went smoothly enough that they are now ready to invite the general masses! Playtest opens on January 9th at 18:00 UTC. The download links should be revealed then. Watch their Twitter feed for more info.

Undead Blocks

Undead Blocks has already been hosting a steady stream of play to earn events. But now they kick things up a notch with the addition of co-op multiplayer! No longer must you face the hordes of undead alone. Now you can bring a friend for some co-op, zombie killing fun! The team has already announced their intentions to also add a 4-player mode. Already off to a great start for 2023, Undead Blocks looks to have claimed a long-term spot in the web3 ecosystem!

Champions Ascension

Champions Ascension continues to impress with improvements and additions to their virtual world, arena combat, and selection of in-game, mini-games. Their alpha previews open three days a week, every weekend, for several hours at a time, and are open to everyone (if you don’t own a Champion NFT, access codes are easy to find).

Players can earn tickets from participating in the arena or any of the mini-games. Use those tickets to buy Mystery Boxes with random, NFT items inside.

And with their upcoming Elemental mint (basically lesser Champions, though with some unique traits only available to Elementals), expect to continue to see more news about Champions Ascension in the near future!

Axie Infinity

Though Axie Infinity has still been slipping in the charts in regards to active players, the recent first alpha launch of land gameplay, called Homeland, seems to have galvanized their playerbase. Axie land holders have been waiting a long time for this release, and initial reports are promising. With the additional recent major revamp of their game and economy, the Axie ecosystem seems to be thriving and growing.

Just a few weeks ago Undead Blocks introduced new features in a massive update that completely changed its replayability and now, multiplayer! The team does not stop improving the game and making it a better experience for all their community members.

Right now players can join another survivor in a duo, co-op game mode. One player will play Eva and the other as Lucas. In the future, co-op will be improved even further and there will be matches with up to four different players. For this to happen, the team will add more survivors to the game. This update is a significant step for this Zombie Survival Shooter and a complete game-changer.

What about the full game release?

The full game release will come out on late January 2023. Team members already leaked that in the future there will be a mall map, more weapons like the wave gun, more enemies, and a battle pass system. Whether all these features are going to be available or not from the first day is still not known. Recently, Grant Haseley, the executive director of the game left a leak regarding the VIP game mode for NFT Holders where players will “kill2earn”.

I believe this is part of a bigger article that will come out to inform the community of everything that is going to be available on the full game. “Many crypto and Web3 games have completely abandoned daily earnings due to sustainability concerns and rewards abuse. Last Thoughts

Undead Blocks is a zombie FPS on the Immutable X ecosystem. The project has been making considerable progress in the past two months, and its gameplay has completely changed. It is a free-to-play game with NFTs and a token, $UNDEAD which soon will turn into an ecosystem token, $WAGYU.

The NFTs give their holders the possibility to earn daily in game, and they have a total cap of 6,500. So there is no NFT inflation, like in Axie Infinity for example, where players mint NFTs. If you want to know more about its economy I recommend you watch this video.

Personally, I think Undead Blocks will thrive in 2023. Its gameplay is engaging, especially now with multiplayer, more content is coming, and daily earnings will also attract a lot of players. As a zombie survival game, it is unmatched and there is no competition in web3. As a shooter, it is also one of the best that are out now.

The project is positioning itself to attract a vast player base. At some point, it will come out on mobile and browser and the team occasionally organizes free tournaments with prize pools of 15,000 USD for participants!

Undead Blocks simply does not stop delivering to its community. It started by paying more than 100,000 USD in tournaments to its participants this summer, a few weeks ago began a period of 30 days of giveaways and now they launched a massive update!

Besides some new weapons that players tried in the Firearm Roulette tournament, this is the first time that Undead Blocks adds content to the Beta and it completely changed the game. Multiplayer should also be really close. Actually, on Christmas Evening on December 24th, they will announce the release date for the multiplayer option on their Twitch channel.

If this update was massive and a complete game changer, imagine playing Undead Blocks with friends. Recently on their Twitter, they have been releasing a lot of footage.

What’s Undead Blocks?

Undead Blocks is a zombie survival shooter on Immutable X. Everyone can play their Beta since this is a free-to-play game. Players do not even need a wallet to enjoy killing some zombies at the end of the day. Just head to their official website, create a Wagyu account, and download the launcher. As simple as that.

When it comes to its gameplay and graphics, they are really good. I would say Undead Blocks is up to any 2023 shooter. With the new update, and in a few weeks, multiplayer, this will be a game to spend endless hours playing. It is identical to web2 titles that are successful like COD Zombies and Left4Dead. Now imagine Left4Dead but with the possibility of earning some money.

That’s right, as a web3 game, NFT holders will be able to earn at least 1 USD per day, but, they can be really lucky and get up to 100 USD as was mentioned in this video. For F2P players this will be like a normal game that they can play with their friends.

Both in this channel and in Undead Blocks discord will be announced the serial numbers of 3 different Loot Coffins. One number for each of the three different rarities available.

Undead Blocks has been progressing a lot in the past months. They organized regularly sponsored tournaments and paid more than 100,000 USD to participants. They also did a lot of partnerships, announced the loot coffins sale and soon they will release the full game.

I think the team was unlucky because they scheduled the full game release with multiplayer, which is one of the most awaited moments by the community, and a few weeks before FTX collapses alongside with the whole crypto market.

But the truth is that, in despite of these unfortunate events, their assets are holding a decent floor and the community keeps growing. These giveaway programs alongside with the full game release will create hype and will bring new faces to Undead Blocks playerbase.

This web3 zombie FPS has been growing significantly. The team organized a lot of tournaments and more than 100,000 USD were paid to participants. There are also some multiplayer gameplay leaks roaming around and now, the announcement of the Loot Coffins sale arrived.

As mentioned before the sale will take place on the 1st of December and its composition is:

• 12,000 Common Coffins — .01ETH per coffin
• 10,000 Rare Coffins — .02ETH per coffin
• 3,000 Legendary Coffins — .03ETH per coffin

Loot Coffins will contain skins with different rarities and, for the lucky ones, a gold or a silver ticket. Let’s start with the skins and their rarities.

When it comes to tickets they are extremely rare. There is only one gold and silver ticket hidden per tier. This means that for the whole 25,000 coffins there are only 6 tickets. These tickets will give its holders the following items:

• Common Coffin Tier: 1 Iridescent and 1 Gold Rookie Pack
• Rare Coffin Tier: 1 Iridescent and 1 Gold Commander Pack

Influence Test and Earn Event

Influence launched Phase 2 of it’s test and earn program. Players who participate by purchasing Asteroids and Crewmembers, and/or moving resources between chains, earn SWAY tokens. The test is happening on the Goerli (a testnet for Ethereum) network, and getting setup can be confusing at points. Luckily, the Influence team has put together a series of videos to help explain everything. Asteroids are released in batches of 2,500 daily, though new Crew can be created at any time. The event runs through the end of September, so there is plenty of time to get involved, see how in our post here.

Mega World Opens

Megacryptopolis has shut down for maintenance. When it re-opens, in it’s place will be Mega World, a living, 3D city on top of the city running simulation. Players will be able to walk around the city, enter buildings, and go on quests for MEGA tokens. Mega World is expected to open on September 7th. Undead Blocks Tournaments

Undead Blocks started this monthly tournament series with the first tournament – Pistol Speedrun held in July 2022 with a prize pool of $20K, and later the MP5 Massacre tournament with a $10K prize pool. In August 2022, the AKM Assault tournament took place with a $10K prize pool.

Besides the tournaments, Undead Blocks has also announced a Streamer Program to support independent content creators for supporting and promoting the Undead Block community. How to Apply for the Survivor Streamer Program?

To be eligible for the program, streamers, and content creators must stream Undead Blocks content for more than 2 hours per week. This seems to be a regular occurrence now, as Undead Blocks has already given us a Pistol Speedrun Tournament and a MP5 Massacre Tournament this summer. Now they follow those up with another $10k tournament, this one sponsored by Genblock Capital, a blockchain investment company.

AKM Assault Tournament

This latest tournament is called AKM Assault. It runs from August 12th through the 14th (2022). The tournament is free to play. No NFT ownership required. And the top 2000 players receive prizes. The prize pools are for ZBUX tokens, an in-game only currency. Luckily, they are the Gold ZBUX tokens, which can be exchanged foe Ethereum and other tokens on the Wagyu website. The Wagyu site looks like it will be the central spot for managing your Undead Blocks account and NFTs and it is required to create an account there in order to play Undead Blocks.

The goals for the AKM Assault tournament are simple. Kill as many zombies as you can. You have 10 minutes, and the zombie spawn rate increases every minute. The tournament promises that you will not survive! That sounds like a challenge for all of you zombie-killing experts out there!

The game is already tough to master, as players must face off solo against a never ending horde of undead on a small, suburban street. The game features a number of combat options, including guns and melee weapons. During beta, players have access to all the weapons, but only players who hold NFTs will be able to use their weapon skins.

About Undead Blocks

Undead Blocks is a AAA kill-to-earn FPS zombie shooter game running on the Ethereum network. In Undead Blocks, players fight against zombies and earn rewards. Players can participate in daily challenges and missions to attain a top position on the daily leaderboard and earn Gold ZBUX tokens. Also, for every zombie they kill, players earn XP. They then use those experience points to unlock additional weapons.

The game is currently in open beta, is free-to-play, and available for PC and Mac. Undead Blocks has also been running a series of special tournaments with prize pools worth ten to twenty thousand dollars!

$UNDEAD is the official token of Undead Blocks, and there is a maximum supply of 500M tokens. The ZBUX is an off-chain reward currency that allows players to upgrade weapon load-outs, purchase loot boxes, exchange Gold ZBUX for currency, and much more.
