The end approaches for Escape Velocity. This mini-game from Star Atlas that was a combination tech test and means for players to gather game resources without owning a Mining Claim. But never fear resource-gatherers, for Star Atlas is introducing a new, mining class ship that can gather resources and earn ATLAS tokens!

On July 7th, 2023, Star Atlas will close down their Escape Velocity game. Escape Velocity is a browser-based moving and scanning mini-game that uses the Solana blockchain for all of its calculations. By scanning for loot, players can find Star Atlas resources and even NFTs such as Ships and Mining Claims!

Escape Velocity is free to play, though it does require a refundable deposit of 1000 ATLAS tokens. The Star Atlas team also announced that they discovered a few players using bots to play the game for them. These players will have their rewards capped. Any extra resource rewards they accumulated will be distributed to all the other players who engaged with Escape Velocity.

Going forward, anyone who wishes to gather Star Atlas resources will need with a Mining Claim. Alternatively, players can pick up one of the new Mining Ships that were just announced!

Armstrong Mining Ships

As they close down Escape Velocity, Star Atlas opens a new sale for Mining Ships, vehicles dedicated to extracting resources.

We don’t have any details yet about how many resources owners can expect to extract. But we do know that they can be staked either in Faction Fleet to earn ATLAS tokens, or in Faction Claims to earn resources. Faction Fleet and Faction Claims are pre-launch staking systems that encourage players to hold onto their Star Atlas NFTs in exchange for being able to harvest tokens and resources.

These new mining ships come in three sizes, small, medium, and capital. The smallest option, the Armstrong IMP Tip, has a total supply of 10,200 and costs $860 USDC ($430 USDC if you make an early purchase)

And, as seems to be the standard practice for Star Atlas, the ultimate mining ship, the legendary, capital-class, Armstrong IMP, costs quite a pretty penny. $27,500 USDC to be exact! Though, if you manage to pick one up in the first tranche, you can acquire this ship for a mere $13,750.

For all of the mining ships, Star Atlas plans to sell them in three groups, or tranches. The first 30% of each ship type will be in the first group and sell for a 50% discount. The second 30% sells for the base price, while the final 40% of the supply will cost purchasers an extra 10% premium on the base price.

Mining ships should be available in the official Star Atlas marketplace later today.

What is Star Atlas?

The year is 2620. Three factions, MUD, ONI, and USTUR, exist in an uneasy truce across the galaxy. Players explore unknown systems, delve into rocks and earth to acquire resources to build, expand, and conquer! Will you be a fighter, testing your mettle in the arena games? Or an explorer in the depths of space, far beyond the reach of any help? Perhaps a shipwright, creating objects of beauty and technological prowess? Maybe you have bolder ambitions, ones of control and rulership? Well all of these roles and more are open to you in Star Atlas, the space MMO currently in development on the Solana blockchain.

Star Atlas aims to build a galactic, space opera MMO where players control the markets and dictate the ebb and flow of goods and products. The rise or fall of various factions will happen because of player actions, not a directed script.

Along with this comes the expected space exploration and combat, and also land ownership, player governance, and graphic novels. Land owners can build a variety of structures, which allow for mining, production and research. The game taxes land plots to encourage players to use the land rather than sit on it.

Players can currently download the Star Atlas showroom which allows players to roam around a planetary base, engage in races, and try flying various ships.

What is Life Beyond?

Life Beyond is a free-to-play, play-and-earn, FPS-style MMORPG with a third-person view. In Life Beyond, players are citizens of the Dolos Planet, an alien world around a distant star. During the first alpha, players worked to clear and defend land for the first settlement. Along the way they encountered a variety of hostile wildlife, many of them similar to giant, alien roaches!

The game follows the lore, with reasoning for the alpha events and shutdowns written in as part of the storyline. Players go on solo or group Missions for experience and rewards. But while doing so, they also help contribute towards larger, community goals which open up new events and prizes.

Players have four classes to choose from, each with a different weapon selection. Try them out on solo missions or sign up for group missions to receive greater rewards.

Life Beyond is currently in-between alpha phases, though they have a 3D social hub available where players can access the Solo Combat Trials and a couple of other features.

Star Atlas releases a major update to their Showroom, bringing bigger arena battles, more ships to fly, a racing simulation, and even jetpacks! Though the Showroom represents only one part of one station in the game universe, Star Atlas is already packing it full of features!

This is official release 2.1 of the Star Atlas showroom. And this update is a big one, with something for every type of player!

The Star Atlas Showroom is a downloadable app (available only for Windows machines at the moment). You can download it at https://play.staratlas.com/. To access the Showroom, you will need a game key, which you can acquire in two ways. You can either stake one or more ships in the SCORE Program for a week or stake tokens to spawn a ship in Escape Velocity, the web-based resource hunting, mini-game. You can redeem the code at https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/redeem

And you don’t need to own a Star Atlas ship to try these features out. The game provides two, free ships to play with, which rotate every three days. These include ships from across the spectrum, even large vessels.

Whats New in Showroom 2.1?

The biggest feature of this update is probably the Volant Station Racing Track. This track allows players to test drive 49 different ships and engage in competitions for the fastest times around the track! To help players familiarize themselves with all aspects of driving in Star Atlas, this race also includes weapons and items that can be found during the race. The ships handle differently based on their ship type and stats. So test driving them all to find the perfect fit for you might be in order!

Future updates will bring additional racing competitions.

race for glory and fun!
race for glory and fun!

The Galactic Marketplace has now been integrated into the Showroom. Players can purchase ships directly from within the app and immediately access them in-game!

And for those who are more interested in hanging around the station, jetpacks are now available to all players, making traversing the area a cinematic breeze! And supposedly, there are even some secret spots around the expanded station. Players can take screenshots of what they find, which will feed into upcoming photography contests! Each contest will have specific rules, so you’ll have to wait until they are announced for details. But we do know that the winners of these competitions will have their photographic artwork minted as NFTs, which the winner can choose to sell or give away! That’s kind of cool and a great way to engage the community!

The combat arena has also received an update. Players can now summon ships up to large size and try to fend off up to twelve waves of NPC enemies. The Star Atlas team has revised the arena itself to make the challenge more interesting and dynamic.

And finally, we have new ‘Experimental Modes’ available. The details of these are left for the players to discover. But the team says that these experiences are designed to provide sneak peeks into the future of Star Atlas!

With summer vacation arriving, many players are looking for new games to play. And it has now gotten to the point that web3 gaming can completely fill those long summer days! Let’s take a look at a few games to watch in June that may also offer play and earn opportunities!

New seasons, game updates, and mobile gaming and the hot items this month. Mojo Melee kicks off their first beta season, Illuvium Zero opens up a new season with the potential to mint NFTs, Star Atlas updates their Showroom, Mobox goes cross-chain, and mobile, web3 gaming is getting hotter by the day!

Mojo Melee

The Mojo Melee open beta started a bit later than I had expected, so we’re bringing it back as a game to watch in June. This beta not only opens up play to earn opportunities, but it will also serve as a showcase to see if Mojo Melee can attract and hold the interest of a large enough playerbase. Though the game is fun, and runs well, the number of options for building your team is currently pretty limited.

They also have a number of issues that affect progression, which you would think they would have taken care of before the season start. But I guess this is officially season zero, not season one, so we can count this as still being in testing mode.

But anyway, the Mojo Melee beta is free and open to everyone! You can get started here.

Mojo Melee Beta Season 0 runs through the month of June
Beta Season 0 runs through the month of June

Illuvium

Illuvium recently started a new season of their own in Illuvium Zero, their base-building, resource harvesting, blueprint manufacturing, land-based game. After a couple of rounds of testing, Illuvium is ready to turn on the NFT feature. This allows base owners to mint Blueprint NFTs from the game. Provided they have the proper buildings of course. These Blueprints will create items that feed into the larger, Illuvium Overworld at some point in the future.

And speaking of Illuvium Overworld, a new beta for this game was also released recently, offering new zones and a larger world to explore.

Star Atlas

Star Atlas is another game that continues to build out their ecosystem. They just released the latest version of their showroom, allowing players to see and fly around in their owned ships. Players can also take and post screenshots, and engage in racing games.

On top of that, Escape Velocity, their scanning and resource gathering mini-game, has been holding special events where loot odds are increased. At the time of this article, they are currently in the midst of an event that offers a 150x increase in the odds of finding platinum level loot. This loot is extremely rare, even with the odds increase, but it includes rewards worth many thousands of dollars! This mini-game is browser based and free to play (with a completely refundable deposit of ATLAS tokens). You can participate here.

Mobile Games

Web3 gaming continues to push into the mobile market. Many games are building from the ground up with mobile gamers in mind, while other, existing games, such as Gods Unchained, work to build mobile versions.

Gala Games took a different route, opting to straight up purchase a mobile games company and start finding ways to bring web3 into their existing games, The first of these integrations has already happened as Gala added NFTs to both Dragon Strike and Meow Match.

Meanwhile, one of the already live web3, mobile games, Benji Bananas, continues to hold a spot in the top 10 web3 games (in regards to active players).

Mobile, web3 gaming is just getting started. This will be an area to keep an eye for the foreseeable future.

Dragon Strike NFT

Mobox

Mobox continues to expand, going cross-chain with the addition of MoDragons, a dragon breeding and collection game running on the Arbitrum chain. These NFTs are already proving to be extremely popular. And eventually, Mobox plans to have all of their projects on different chains connected via the MomoVerse.

Cross-chain implementation is a talking point for a lot of web3 games. But only a few have actually done anything with it. So with the concept of cross-chain interactions still relatively new in web3 gaming, Mobox has a chance to seize the day, so to speak.

There is always more happening in web3 gaming. So stay with us for the latest news and updates!

Star Atlas unveils a new play and earn mini-game / test event called Escape Velocity. This game sees players moving around a grid map, searching for treasures which can include everything from basic resources up to a legendary ship!

A new play and earn event comes to Star Atlas with a game called Escape Velocity.

In order to participate in this test event, players must lockup 1000 ATLAS tokens (current cost ~$3) to spawn a ship. These tokens are fully refundable when the player chooses to despawn their ship.

Escape Velocity screenshot
Escape Velocity screenshot

Escape Velocity

In Escape Velocity, players move ships around a grid map and scan for treasures. Each grid point represents a star system and also equates to a cartesian coordinate on the Solana blockchain. Some squares hold star systems, but this is just a graphical effect at the moment — it has no effect on gameplay.

Star Atlas says that treasures spawn randomly and stay until found. The exact spawning mechanism is secret, though supposedly the number of players and the amount of game activity can effect the spawn rate.

Warping and Scanning both have a separate, 30 second cooldown. And though it’s fun to find things, the actual gameplay becomes tedious pretty quickly. Especially since every warp and scan requires a wallet transaction. I can see this game being filled with bots very quickly. In fact, it seems kind of perfectly suited for automation!

But the potential to score some nice NFT loot, including Stake Claims and even a Fimbul BYOS Tankship (a Legendary ship that would cost $97,500 USD if you wanted to buy it!) is sure to draw in plenty of players.

This demo is a pretty cool way to showcase your tech, get players involved, and also reward them with game resources. You can join and play now at https://sage.staratlas.com/

Gather Resources with Claim Stakes

Aside from playing Escape Velocity, Star Atlas players can also accumulate resources with Claim Stakes. Eventually, Claim Stakes will need to actually be placed on land areas in-game, but for now, owners can stake them on the Star Atlas website and receive a passive income of food, ammunition, fuel, and toolkits.

Players can purchase common level Claim Stakes for as low as $30 USD, but the price goes up quite quickly for higher rarities.

This is the second passive staking phase for Star Atlas. They also allow ship owners to earn ATLAS tokens by pledging their ships to support one of the three main factions.

Players have voted and selected the winners of the Gam3r’s Choice Awards! With eighteen categories and dozens of nominees, this event brought a lot of gaming communities out to vote for their favorite games.

After giving players several weeks to cast their votes across a variety of categories, The Gam3r’s Choice Awards have announced their winners. With an in-person awards show in Miami, physical trophies, and a livestream of the event, Web Gam3r upped the ante in regards to web3 gaming awards!

Big Time was the big winner at these awards, taking no less than three categories, including Game of the Year!

Gam3r’s Awards Winners List

Here is the full list of winners.

Many of these winners are not especially surprising. Animoca Brands seems to have their hand in half of web3 gaming currently in development, and Gala Games has done nothing buy stay in the news recently with their acquisitions, releases, and other updates.

And with The Sandbox migrating to the Polygon chain, as well as well-known NFTs projects DeGods and y00ts, Polygon seems to be here to stay. Even with competition from Immutable X and other layer 2 or sidechain solutions.

But some of these winners are more obviously just game communities bombarding the system with votes, whether deserved or not. With a number of mobile, web3 games that you can actually play, Guild of Guardians, which has only shown us a couple of very limited (both in time and scope) alphas, doesn’t deserve this particular award, in my opinion Now don’t get me wrong! I’m looking forward to playing some GoG, and own several Founder NFTs myself. And I’m sure that they will earn many awards in the future. But with their current status, I wouldn’t have put them up for this particular award to begin with.

The Future of Gaming

It’s interesting that we still don’t have anything in the way of action-based sports game in web3 yet. All we have are the hybrid fantasy football / collectible card games such as SoRare. This seems like an opportunity for some bold developer. I expect that we’ll see someone coming to fill that void within the next year.

But these awards do show us the direction web3 gaming is heading. For the most part, we see active, high-quality games on the winner’s list. Browser based games are going to need to offer something special to compete with the detail and graphics offered by the more traditional game downloads.!

And the actual awards ceremony seemed to be enjoyed by the participants. I can see these awards becoming a bigger and bigger event as the web3 ecosystem grows and develops.

I’m looking forward to 2023, the year of blockchain gaming!

Dogfighting, ship racing, and multiplayer are just some of the things that are new in Star Atlas Pre-Season R2 which was just launched! This update left everyone ‘jaw dropped’. Finally, Star Atlas fans are able to experience the true AAA game the devs have been promoting since the beginning of the project. This was a hit for all of those who kept saying that Star Atlas is one of the biggest scams in Web3.

On December 16th Star Atlas announced the launch of the ‘Pre-Season’ or ‘R2’. This update brings a lot of new features and activities like:

  • Dogfighting
  • Ship Racing
  • New version of the Volant Station
  • Multiplayer
  • Characters and skins

This is a major step for Star Atlas and its community which is now more hyped than ever. The first showroom was quite limited, all players could do was walk around, but now everyone can have a glimpse of the AAA graphics and gameplay of the game. Let’s break down everything that is new!

Dogfighting

The Dogfighting Arena is one of the most exciting new features. Players will have to hone their skills as pilots in order to survive in the open space where everything is possible. Pilots must be ready to maneuver their ships while under heavy enemy fire. Bots will come in waves, and in each wave, the enemy pilots will be flying with a different ship. For the competitive players, the Arena already has leaderboards for everyone to see who are the best pilots in the community. Before adventuring into a space dogfight I recommend everyone to first watch the tutorial.

Ship Racing

Racing is another great feature that is new in the Star Atlas Pre-Season. There is the aerial racing track with another leaderboard for adrenaline addicts. Pilots will test out their maneuvering skills by flying as fast as possible through each gate. Each ship will offer a different flying mechanic.

Improved Volant Station

The old Volant Station is still there. But now it looks way better and it is WAY larger. There are more landing pads and additional acres of land to explore. Old areas are also more polished and enhanced to provide a better experience.

Improved Volant Station
Improved Volant Station
Multiplayer

Finally, pilots will be able to form a party of eight with their closest friends. The available activities for a party are still a bit limited. Players can only summon their ship and move around with their friends so far. But it is the first multiplayer experience ever in Star Atlas, so it is a good start.

Character and Skins

Now explorers have more options than just Captain Asha. The team added three additional characters that can be selected right after login in. Besides this, every character can be equipped with different skins. In the future, NFT skins will be integrated into the game.

How to access the ‘Pre-Season’?

To play in Star Atlas R2 players will need a key. Those who had access to the first Showroom already got a key automatically. For those who do not have a key, must buy an NFT ship on Star Atlas Marketplace and send that ship on the mini-game SCORE in a mission for a week.

After getting the key players must:

  1. Head to the Epic Games Store
  2. Insert the key
  3. Download Star Atlas Showroom
  4. Once on the Showroom landing page connect a Solana wallet
  5. Enjoy

Last Thoughts on Star Atlas

I was quite impressed with what I saw in this new update. I think that before, there were the fans, and there were those who were skeptical and thought that Star Atlas was a scam. With R2, the team proves that they have been working hard behind the curtain and making good use of the funds they have. The next release should be SAGE, a strategy mini-game that will replace SCORE, which should come out in Q1 or Q2 of 2023.

Personally, I loved the gameplay footage of R2. But not everything is going well for Star Atlas. The title’s treasury took a heavy hit when FTX went down and that is why the team is trying to sell Titan Ships for 2,500,000 USD in a full bear market. More information about that on this article. To me, that seems a bit desperate and foolish.

When it comes to Star Atlas as an investment I think it is quite risky and a long-term play. It is a game that will take at least five more years to be fully developed if they solve their funds issue. If you want to know my opinion regarding buying NFTs and other assets from this title I will leave you the video below.

This resulted in over 40,000 community members voting on their favorite projects and content creators resulting in a total of 250,000 votes across the 16 different categories. Thirty-two projects were filtered out of all the votes and below are the winners of each category on December 15th:

As for the content creator award, twenty-three web3 gaming content creators received nominations until the final voting day. But who took the prize home was Brycent, a Twitch streamer.

Besides being an awards event, many web3 games shared some alpha with their community members. An example of this was the project Blocklords. During the stream, they showed some gameplay for the first time ever.

This was a major event in Web3 Gaming. Justin Kan, Founder of Fractal, shared his thoughts and commented: “We are excited to partner with Polkastarter Gaming on this event, it is truly a step in the right direction for the industry, and the first of its kind in web3 gaming!”

Last Thoughts

The GAM3 Awards this year were one of the most expected events in the web3 gaming industry. A lot of enthusiasts took their time to vote on their favorite games. But, even though I agree with some of the awards, I am not sure it reflects accurately the best projects out there.

The projects who won are the ones that got the highest amount of votes. So, did the winners win because their product is the best in a specific category, or did they win because they have the largest community? Are GAM3 Awards about quality or about marketing and hype?

I can give you a few examples. Star Atlas won an award in the ‘Best Graphics’ category while they only have a very limited demo out. On the other hand Phantom Galaxies also has AAA graphics, maybe even better than Star Atlas’! It also has a lot of content, voice acting, quests, multiple areas to explore, gathering, combat, and different classes. Overall, it is light-years ahead of Star Atlas when it comes to development and quality and they did not win anything while both games fall into the Sci-fi, MMORPG genre. Maybe the graphics shown in Star Atlas demo are a bit better, but it is just a demo in a tiny area while Phantom Galaxies also has mind-blowing graphics in a much vaster area, where players can do a lot more than just walk around.

Personally, I think this is not fair and I also think that the awards should be distributed based on established criteria and not votes. Votes just represent which project has more hype and the largest community and is not directly related to the quality of a project.

When it comes to the number of people voting I think it is a positive sign. It indicates that there are more and more people interested in web3 gaming and that the industry is growing by the day.

Star Atlas announced some of the details around their upcoming land plot and claim stake sale. Land plots equate to player housing and Claim Stakes will be used for those who want to extract resources from planets, so there should be a demand for both items. However, I do have to question some of the price points for this sale.

A couple of weeks ago Star Atlas announced a series of four NFT sales for their epic, space-based, strategy game. The first sale, for Titans and other ships, is still ongoing. And while we still for someone to spend over a million dollars on an NFT spaceship, Star Atlas brings us news of their next sale.

Beginning on December 20th, at 12pm EST, part 2 of this series of sales opens, featuring Land Plots and Claim Stakes.

Land Plots

This upcoming sale opens up 10% of the total, planned residential area for each Faction. The sale occurs in four tranches, or sections. The first tranche includes all Tier 5 plots, half of the Tier 4 plots, and a fourth of the rest of the plots. All items in this first tranche will be discounted by 15%. The second set of plots released includes the rest of Tier 4 plots and another quarter of the lower tiers, all priced with a 10 % discount. The remaining inventory will be divided between the two final tranches, with a discount of 5% on the third set, and no discount for the final set.

These land plots exist in the Central Space Stations for each faction, which will also serve as a starting point for new players and a main hub throughout the game. In all plots players can decorate and place furniture in pre-determined spots, apply a paint color of their choice, and store their items and resources. All of these sales include bonus items that won’t necessarily be included in future sales.

The base tier is not actually an individual land plot. Instead, it’s an apartment in a tower condo. These are still private residences, just perhaps not as fancy as the others. Base Tier habitats cost $80 and there are a 4,100 units available per faction for this sale.

The next step up, a Tier 1 plot, is quite a bit more expensive, but it’s also a lot fancier. These plots cost $1610 and are individual land plots within the Stations. Players can customize the exterior as well as the interior. These plots also come with a landing pad, and a Calico Scud ship. Only 471 Tier 1 plots are available — 157 per faction.

Tier 2 plots cost $9300. These plots have enough room to house four players, and owners can even choose to rent out a room (space AirBNB?). These include all the benefits of Tier 1 habitats, plus an additional ship, the Calico Maxhog. Tier 3 plots cost $20k and come with bigger everything, including an exclusive Pet House and are large enough to house a small guild.

Only two Tier 4 plots will be available for each faction. And these status symbols cost a cool $180k. Really more of a villa than a house, Tier 4s have room for dozens of players to comfortably live. They also include an exclusive sculpture decoration and four free ships.

And then, finally, there are Tier 5 plots. These are ludicrously priced at $2 million each, with only one available per Faction. And while they look fancy and will likely impress visitors, with a price point even higher than the revered Titan ships, it would surprise me if any plots from this Tier sell.

Claim Stakes

Then, for those who want to be a part of the crafting economy, we have Claim Stakes. Claim Stakes allow players to mine for resources. Claim Stakes exist in-game as physical objects. Players must transport them to a planet in order to claim a mining spot. After staking a claim, players will still need to build up the infrastructure to produce resources and protect their claims.

Claim Stakes harvest resources based on their rarity. A common Stake should be able to bring in enough to keep an XS size ship supplied. While a Legendary will generate enough resources to run a Capital class ship. There will be a tax on Claim Stakes, so unused Claims will quickly become a drain on the owning player’s wallet. Prices range from $32 for a common Claim Stake, all the way up to $7,776 for a Legendary.

Since there are already some Claim Stakes in existence, Star Atlas plans to open enable them in the Galactic Market one week before the sale starts.

In a time that sees many projects scaling back or delaying mints, Star Atlas bucks the trend by announcing four separate NFT sales — all coming within the next 2 months! Unfortunately, these sales are driven in part by a funding crisis caused by the FTX fiasco.

Star Atlas was hit hard by the FTX bankruptcy. In fact, they apparently used FTX as their primary exchange. Their CEO recently released a statement stating that roughly half of their working capital is now locked up in FTX, reducing their available development runway to 9 months to a year. But he promises that development will continue, and reiterated their dedication to the Solana blockchain.

So, while Star Atlas waits to potentially retrieve their locked funds and find additional investors, they have come up with a series of sales. Four sales in total, all expected to open over the next couple of months, all in USDC.

Titan Sale for Titan Prices

First up is the Titan Sale. Only three ships are available in the sale, one Titan for each of the factions — The Pearce T1, Busan — The Last Stand mk. VIII, and the Fimbul ECOS Superphoenix Eventually, there will be three Titans of each class, plus three additional Titan classes that are not faction aligned, for a total of 18 Titans available in the galaxy.

The titan ships for this sale start at a discount of 80% with the discount decreasing every week for 4 weeks. And, I have to say, they certainly need a discount. Because these behemoths come with an equally sizable price!

The starting price for a Titan is $5 million dollars. That’s right, million! So, with the 80% discount, for the first week (and the first week only!) of the sale, Titans will cost a mere $1 million. They only go up in price from there!

One million is a pretty significant investment into this game. Especially given the current markets. This feels like a pretty big reach for Star Atlas.

And for 1 million dollars, you would expect significant number of perks. However, it seems that aside from owning an extremely rare ship NFT, all you get in addition is a unique skin, and a chance to earn more ATLAS tokens through their staking system. But, people have certainly spent more on less, so we’ll see what happens with this sale. No official date had been given yet, though they hope to begin it during the week of November 21st.

Ships, Claim Stakes, and Land Claims

Next up is a Special Ship Sale, also slated to begin the week of November 21st. This is basically an effort to clear out some inventory for ships that have not seen many buyers. This includes the Pearce D9, Ogrika Sunpaa, Busan Maiden Heart, Fimbul Mamba, Pearce R6, and Fimbul BYOS Tankship class ships.

This ship sale follows the same pattern as the Titan sale. An 80% discount the first week, with 10% removed from the discount in each of the following weeks for four weeks. After that, the ships revert to their regular price. In addition to picking up a ship at a discount, any sold during this sale receive a special, custom skin. For those who already purchased a ship at the regular price, they’ll receive a free bonus ship as a reward.

Then we have a Claim Stake sale. Claim Stakes are resource extractors. Players transport them to planets to lay claim to a plot and begin gathering the local resources. Claim Stakes come in five tiers, from common to legendary Each tier extracts the corresponding rarity of resource. This sale will also include mining drills, power plants, and space stations.

And finally, a sale for Central Space Station land claims. Basically, centralized housing. These land claims allow cargo storage and provide a crafting bonus. In the future, this will be fully customizable with command terminals, pet houses, landing pads, and other exciting items.

Six tiers of land claims, with higher tiers representing larger plots. All land plots from this sale come with a structure, though future lands sales will feature empty plots. These are land claims, not the actual property. There will be a future claiming process. Claims purchased during these early sales will have priority when selecting specific plots. Land purchasers also receive a free ship, based on the size of the plot, and a commemorative badge. In addition, early land owners will be whitelisted for future commercial plot sales.

Prices and dates for the Land Claim and Claim Stake sales have not yet been released.
